1. okay so this is gonna sound more like a drunken ramble than a constructive post as that's what it is.. i first took my car to darren in 2005. since then he has been the only person i have trusted my G60 with. we became friends through my g60, to the point where he came to my wedding! i understand that there have been issues for other people. Way back in 07 i had an issue myself - this ended up with darren insisting Rob drove over 200 miles to get a set of coilovers to me to sort out Robs mistake. Darren is an incredibly busy bloke.. everytime i'm at gwerks the phone is ringing off the hook with people asking for advice which is always answered where possible. personally i only ever call him now after 9pm once the kids are in bed and he's settled. im always aware that this is now running into his relaxing time. At ultimate dubs 2010 we had a monster weekend. we were all hanging and looking forward to getting home. At the end of the show Darren had just said he couldn't wait to get out and get home to the kids. a forum member from here happened to spot him and ask if he could help get his g60 started. Darren stayed whilst we all left. I want people to understand that if there is a problem, its not something that's not cared about. the amount of work that one person has created for themselves in a short period of time is too much for him to undertake on his own. I really hope getting the right people in to help sort this for the future will be the answer. Hopefully this will be the last negative forum post regarding Gwerks. If not, i'll pack things in and join the team myself. if this all sounds a bit :fondle: so what.. ive been on the ciderrrrrr...
2. what do you want for the whole car? what do you want once parts are swapped?
3. why not go for flocking?
4. you want to go from 6.5" wheels to 10" wheels without them sticking out? no chance.
5. Hopefully this could put an end to the recent issues! http://g-werks.com/blog//
6. I need one BBS centre cap for G60 RZ's.. Just noticed one of mine is flat, it should dip at the edge. I require one the same as the top one. Thank you please.
7. how do we know its a bargain though?! There's no info on price, mot, tax, history etc.. Could be after 5k!
8. Wow.. I thought this was gonna look sh!t.. Not often im right!
9. I've just had a call from the buyer of my G60 to say it's chucked its water out on the motorway. Car had done approx 110 miles at 70-80 mph, with water temp at 80-90 and oil temp at 110-120. The water light started buzzing and shortly after oil light and buzzer came on. He managed to pull in within about 30 secs and the car then chucked all its water from the expansion tank. The top hose apparently felt hotter than the bottom at this time. The oil cap looks normal, with no gunk. Anyone have suggestions as to what could cause the water to suddenly drop? Fan was kicking in fine before, it's had a recent new water pump, samco hoses, radiator, rad thermo switch etc. I can't think of anything that would cause it to suddenly jump from 80 degrees to overheating? He's currently waiting for the RAC.. Not the best start to Corrado ownership :(
10. Now sold! Went to the first viewer - EnthusiastOwned™ He has good plans for it so I look forward to seeing updates.. After 6 years, I'm gonna miss the old girl. Turns 20 on 21st August too. She's all grown up. Sad to see it go, but I'm not out of the fold just yet - Will start a new thread about the replacement in the next couple of weeks.. it's gonna be a good un. 13. if youre keeping the egine id stick with the early bonnet. they're much rarer now so nice to see one for a change.
14. the easiest option if you can find one is to use a mk2 syncro as a breaker..
15. I put the G60 up for sale when i bought my house but the sale fell through. I sold everything else i owned and just about came up with the same money and kept the corrado. Problem is, owning a house takes all your spare rado money! I kept mine and did it up [very] gradually and hardly used it. I'm glad I still have it as the money would be long gone. All depends what's really important to you though!
16. Hmm.. replacted looks pretty good.. was thinking about moving my battery and washer bottle to allow space for air feed. do you have pics of the boot setup kev?
17. Only one i've found new is from venom - HERE
18. Tim - are you away until monday? Was thinking of coming up for the bits friday eve or sunday if you're about?
19. I have a front Golf G60 grill badge on ebay at the moment, they fit the corrado with a small cutout on the back of the grille. Ebay link.. They do go for silly money, however I've started mine at 99p so if it goes for a huge amount its the buyer, not seller dictating this!

Badges

Trimsport sell replica badges for the rear. Front grill badges are virtually impossible to get hold of new or in new condition. I have a front Golf G60 grill badge on ebay at the moment, they fit the corrado with a small cutout on the back of the grille. Ebay link.. As said above, they do go for silly money. I've started mine at 99p so if it goes for a huge amount its the buyer, not seller dictating this!
21. hi bud, don't need the fusebox cover, just the other two trays so that's good to go.. how quickly would you be able to get the tyres removed if i need them? If i let you know thursday am could they be off by friday pm? Cheers Baz
22. not as easy to redrill as you'll need to weld the original holes and the redrill the same position. Doable, but will take a specialist rather than just any machining shop. Contact voodoo motorsport, http://www.voodoomotorsport.com/ or check this thread on edition38.. http://www.edition38.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=294133
23. Are the wheels flat backed or shaped around the bolt holes? If they're flat backed then redrilling is def the easiest option.. You'd want 10-15mm spacers on the front and the rears will be perfect.
