help! 1.8 16v oil alarm buzzer coming on as soon as revs hit 2.5k
VEEDUBBED replied to g0ldf1ng3r's topic in Engine Bay
How about just rigging up a mechanical oil press gauge? I've got a load of low/high press. Senders in a bucket, if you want, I could post you two over mate. -
And the crankshaft????....
-
I've got horrid ones mate, cracked and rusty..
-
I had about 3 spare, I'll try looking for them but again. How the hell can 3 be misplaced is beyond me.
-
I can see them fine.
-
I was waiting for that..there's always one..!
-
Hmm, been through this a few times now on various corrados i've owned over the years so i know exactly what what your going through! Always looking at the dam thing and saying 'When will it ever get finished..' Anyway, Welcome along and i must say, progress is looking good. The only thing i see that spoils the front end are the foglamps and early grille, i personally prefer the newer, facelift versions. If you need bits, let me know mate, i've only recently sent a complete gearshift mechanism to Texas, bits to Brasil, UK, Holland, Ireland, Scotland...

Righto chaps, What does the term 'Spammed' mean? As in, "My ad's been spammed" VEED'D is defiantly gonna have to brush up his outdated knowledge..
-
I've got loads, let me check tomorrow morning and I'll get you a few photos. Send me your email, I'll load them onto my phone and send them direct.
-
Whilst building my old 16v-G60 engine I gathered loads of different pulleys, bolts, crank dampers, brackets, etc.. Let me know if you need anything unusual.
-
I can almost see your wallet getting drained matey.. I'll check and see what's left over.
-
That sounds like an excellent idea, I too thought about doing a similar conversion using a Fiat punto/ new 500 steering motor, no more worries about leaks, loose belt and a tiny increase in engine pick up, after ditching the PS pump.
-
Nope, different end bits on the cables.
-
Sounds right pulley wise. What about that awful double pulley water pump the 1.8 KR was blessed with, could you eliminate it totally by fabricating the serp. belt set-up?
-
Seems a little drastic mate.. Have you tried changing the actual belt? Maybe also try one those spray cans of belt anti squeal or a quick spray of silicone spray might do the trick.
-
Did you notice any difference regarding the pedal travel? I take it your corrado has abs?
-
I'll certainly remember that about Creation.. I'm needing a set too. I'll get them from Epytech instead..
-
Later on i'll post up a couple of photos. Your gonna have to modify trim were the litte locating studs locate, nothing drastic, the polo's housing's studs are slightly wider than the corrado ones. The only other thing that springs to mind is shortening the gear knob shaft, not to difficult, i used a pipe cutter.

Products made by POR are very good, expensive though. Good old Waxoil springs to mind too. Now will you PLEASE slap a turbo on that 205?? -
Advice on rust treatment for my poor 205 Gti
VEEDUBBED replied to corrado_sunderland's topic in General Car Chat
Judging by the second hand prices, here in Rome at least, they go for big money now, even ****ters. Great car to look at, especially those 15" alloys! Not like the crappy 13" shopping trolley wheels fitted to the uno turbos and Renault 5 gt turbos of the same era. -
I think I still have a brand new one mate..still in its box. I'll check tommorow morning and let you know. Postage to Belfast, no problem.
-
Early or late versions mate?
-
What exactly do you need Plum?
