Is it still possible to 'Forget' to pay the tv license? I left the UK in '87 so a wee few things have changed I imagine.. Can't do it here in Italy anymore because the brite sparks in the goverment came up With the idea that the tv license will be automatically added on to the electricity bill So basically we're all buggered here. The Italian state tv is quite shiyte too..

Reminds me of My corrado's fusebox..mirror image.. Check For a 12v feed on the main feed into the fuse box, i can see that it's connected from the photo. That's the feed from the battery positive.
-
Just some crap relè added on by a previous owner methinks..possibly a home brewed headlamp relay setup, afairc, the headlamps on my old 16v were pretty crap without the inner spots also on. Bin the bloody thing, one thing less to worry about.
-
What part has the Bushes? The lever linkage? The shift tower? Corrado 02a gearbox I assume or golf 020?
-
Photos needs Matt..

Bad **** mate.. Whilst your in there, also change the awful big, red alternator-battery feed wire and add a spare earth strap. 25+ year old wiring is now really crap and has substantial voltage drop.. Also rewire the fuel pump feed, when i first turboed an 8v gti golf i only had 11.5 volts present at the pump..
-
Yeah, quite a handful..without any LSD in the original 020 2Y gearbox, which lasted 3 days.. Then a 4T off a gtd golf, fine once you stopped spinning but wiped out 2/3rd in no time. Def. Get the electrical issue sorted mate, sounds dangerous. In regards to your question about removing the corrado wing, just cut up or down the bead of sealant present along the inner edge of the wing. Don't worry about damaging anything as it's only the sealant present, no wires or other stuff that can be damaged. I've tried to upload a few photos of a wing I have already dismantled so you can see where to actually cut the sealant, the photos are too big so I'll have to send them onto your email. Send me it again mate.

Allright Matt, Exact same golf as mine mate, same colour, but mine was a '91 16v golf. My 1.8 KR 16v mill was pushing out around 380hp running Weber/iaw injection around 15/16 years ago, I was still on the original brakes too.. Never forgot bombing down the motorway entering Rome's ring road at 4.00am and having to slam the brakes on hard 'cos a TIR pulled out..i was going at 240km/h.. I **** myself.. I reckon the max. you can go on 15" is by using modded Vauxhall meriva cdti 4 stud 280mm disks and Girling 60 calipers, 4 pot Brembo calipers would also be ideal. I made my own 3" exhaust, front to rear, the difference between 2.5" and is very noticeable. I don't remember If the golf g60 had the same gearchange as the corrado, my 16v had the older awful rod system, if yours has got the same cable system like the corrado, why not swap over the newer golf 4 set up? The shift tower would fit the CBA(?) gearbox fitted no problem.

Message with photos just sent John. Check that the email doesn't get thrown into SPAM mail, this often happens.. Cheers.
-
When you fitted the 4 pot calipers, did you notice any increase in brake pedal travel? Cheers.
-
All right John, Send me your email mate, I'll load up a few photos directly onto my phone. Def. Off a late '92 Corrado, it's my car's one I had spare. Yeah, I'm in Italy but don't worry about postage, I've got a decent courier who sends corrado bits all over the world for me.
-
Yeah, I've heard similar remarks concerning them, I wonder if they are still trading. If possible, even a used eeprom would be better than the o/e crap the g60 has.. Pitstop developments springs to mind, I had a chip in my g60-16v engine that I got used off them, nothing better than their software.
-
Be extra careful of whatever chip was supplied mate, SNS all the way to get rid of that awful Digilag..
-
I've got one mate, not red but no rust or dents.

Both hubs and steering joint sold to Jim. -
I've seen complete 02j gearbox's on ebay go for £50.. Just make sure the shifter is indeed the version you need, VW back in '00/'01 bolloxed around with both types of tower, both fitted to the 02j boxes. And remember also that you will need the bottom piece that bolts to the bottom of the 'box, the aluminum end bit with 'VW' stamped on it. The two bits are totally different between shafts.
-
If Chris hasn't got one, I may have one spare. Do you need it complete with cap and leads?
-
1.8 G60 or 1.8 KR 16v??
-
They just look fake, your eyes are drawn to them 'cos they look odd, My opinion of coarse.
-
They look total shiyte once fitted too..
-
That can be done on corrados sans A/C, Corrados fitted with A/C- no chance.
-
I changed mine back in '06, by the roadside!! Pi$$ easy.. I'm moving back to the UK..

Jesus, £500 effin quid to take out a dashboard??? I should be a millionaire by now..
