  1. That's the problem with this...problem. There could be a number of things that cause it. It seems that loads of raddos in all flavours seem to all of a sudden start running hot...but not too hot. Maybe it's the rad getting worse with age?

The window does sound like it could be a bad connection as the problem is intermittant Have a look around useing the search facility, I just found this thread http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... ken+window maybe of use..seems there's a few things it could be. With regards to the doorcard. Theres a few screws around, I think on the early doorcard the only tricky screw to find is the one on the inner door pull thing...you have to unclip the top of the handle and there's a screw behind. (( it's kinda hard to explain )) Would be another good idea for one of the lovely mods to whack into the Knowledge Base.
  5. Try and keep thee car at around 2000RPM I usually change at between 3000 - 3500 RMP

I think the switch just clips out mate, i think you push the switch unit up or dwon and pull out..someone will confirm whether thats right though :wink: have a look for any fooked wires that might have corroded. I'm not sure how much they would be from the stealers but it's always worth checking for 2nd hand . Not sure how much the motor is either ...and i'm not sure if just the one window would not work as a result of anything being wrong with the motor or ECU?..i think neither would work if there was a problem with those parts?...though I may be wrong?..

  8. I'd have a look at the switch first , they catch the rain when it drops through the window so can end up knackered.

  11. Some G60's had ABS and some didn't . If yours doesn't have a light it wont have ABS..if you did you would also feel the pedal click a couple of secs after starting the car.
  12. Have a look in the knowledge base under Headlights (early to late conversion) Better get used to typing those word's moddies. :wink:

    Why do you want to change it? If there's nothing wrong with the fluid in there then I wouldn't have thought there would be much difference if you change it. The fluid to be used in the raddo pumps is specific so it's best to get it from VAG ( it's a dark green colour ). EDIT-- sorry, welcome to the forum aswell. :D

If the ABS was in the car then great, keep it there, but the question was should I bother to fit it into a car without ABS and I don't reckon it's worth it. ..And it didn't seem to help you to much both times you wrote your raddo off in 6 months ... :wink: ...sorry :lol:

  20. I'm gonna vote for the non ABS. I've had g60's with and without and noticed no deifference apart from the added worry that it would go wrong. My 8v had had the ABS removed and the brakes were fine. I certainly wouldn't go to the effort. I't s deffinately worth keeping hold of the pump and dashlight as they do fetch OK money, I just sold a pump from a 16v for £35. It can be expensive to replace the pump, but it's more expensive to have the ABS removed entirely so it would deffinately sell.
  21. The charger zaps around 25-30 bhp as far as I can remember, though if you take it out of the equation on a g60 it will be alot slower than a standard 1.8 8v gti . I think the standard g60 engine is around 80bhp, I think it's some thing to do with compression or something but don't ask me, i'm just speaking from memory! and the lader takes 30bhp from that, which makes it a bloody effient piece of kit.

  24. Never done it on a valver, but I changed my fan switch without draining the water. I just did it after leaving the car overnight so it was cols and topped up the tiny bit of coolant I lost.
