  1. dazzyvr6, sometimes when I edit posts the "last edited by Walesy blah blah " message doesn't come up , and some times it does. I'm not sure why that is , but I try to do the same as triggermyson just in case. EDT-- but yeah, triggermyson's a wannabe screw
  2. Yeah, I had the choice and opted for the 'quiet' one, but still found that it was quite a bit louder than standard. Bloody good exhaust and fitment though, and a curtousy car too! :D
  3. .... use your own judgement mate. Although it's helpfull to get as much info as you can before buying a car, don't let a bunch of people on a forum dictate the deal, it sounds like you want to buy the car.
  4. ...If you have it custom made , but i'm not sure that's the case when buying a miltek etc from the shelf. Also, when I had my Longlife fitted I asked for it to be as quiet as possible and it was certainly alot louder than standard.
  5. Yep, gotta agree unfortunatly. Look at this as an example: http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... 19&start=0 No-one seems to be interested in that one and it looks to be a minty example with less than 100k
  6. It depends totaly on your own personal circumstances/needs. If you want something noticeably quicker than your mk2 than stay away from the valvers. If you want fairly brutal acceleration / screaming charger noises / tunability go for a G60 If you want refined power / newer more modern interior / a motorway muncher / a model with slightly more 'status' then choose a VR6 With regards to fuel, I would just say that any Corrado is not the car to buy if you are worried about economy. Have a look in the Knowledge Base for info on each specific model and a buyers guide http://www.the-corrado.net/wiki/index.p ... rrado_Info Whichever you choose you won't be dissapointed...especially with the type of roads in Cornwall
  7. ..always bugs me when advertisers put that  .. it's worth an 'average' ammount  I'd say that prices should slowly go back up a bit now that the festive period is over, it may be quiet for a bit , but in a few months I think raddo's will be priced more realisticly. It sounds like its worth £2.5k- £3k? EDIT-- having seen the slightly high mileage, it may be worth a bit less than that..
  8. If I was you, and you're keeping the mk1 , i'd deffo say go for the vr6....it's a personal circumstance thing really.
  9. Yep, this is bad beans mate, really gutted for you. Your car sounded like it was a nicely sorted example, a real shame to loose a goodun. :(
  10. As does faded black plastic! On a red car it would look crap but on darker colours it's barely noticeable. There's no excuse for faded black plastic  , Autoglym Bumper Gel makes it look like new, I used to do all my plastics once a month-ish with it and they looked like new.
  11. That thing is awesome, are they expensive and/or hard to find then PhatVR6?
  12. They'l use whatever they can to get out of paying you if you total your car mate. Im just chuckling at the thought of you trying to get away with saying that you reckon that thing is standard... ...
  13. and to you mate :D Yeah, I sorta see it as a common sense thing, after all...how can you catogorise a modification?..would you have to use stock parts when changing everything?..even fuel filters or head gaskets and so on.... Any thing that you want to be able to reclaim for should be declared obviously. And anything performance enhancing in my opinion should really be declared, as I said beofore, the first raddo I had didn't have standard wheels and suspension and I didn't think to ring my insurance about it , but after my accident I got a policy that covered the lot. If you go with brentacre they insure you with mods up to a certain horsepower...thats the best way about it if you ask me.
  14. ...don't tell me you've bent it trev-b? :( I had someone drive into me in my raddo (( not the one I sold to you I might add )) .. and I had he car repaired and no-one mentioned the fact that the suspension ( that they had to check after the knock ) had been changed and lowered, the only mention I had of the split rims I had was that they were noit prepared to pay for them to be repaired as they weren't standard.
  15. Just to throw another possibility into the mix, i'm sure I remember a thread about someone having a humming noise from the back and it turned out to be something to do with his heated seats? ..or maybe its a giant humming bird on the rear seat?
  16. yyyeah gotta say, that looks agressive.
  17. I had one for 13 months, an ADY...did 24k miles in the thing including a trip through France and the Pyranese to southern Spain and back...loved it ...but it was slooooooooooooooooooooooow :) P.S ...you caught me before I edited the post...
  18. there isn't a 1.8 8v, only a 2.0 8v and I think it's literaly around the 10 sec mark....not very quick.
  19. L reg Green VR6 parked in Newquay town centre today ( 28 Dec ) with black leather interior and lowered slightly on speedlines....absolutley stunning...it really was...not sure if it was your car triggermyson but if so I'd like to apologise for the saliva and various other body fluids I left on it while looking at it...it was luuuurrvly
  20. crdo16v, you forgot one: 2.0 8v 34.7 mins
  21. Try the knowledge base mate. http://www.the-corrado.net/wiki/index.p ... rrado_Info
  22. And correct me if i'm spouting bollox but I think the correct name for the part is the ' front splitter' ?
  23. I suggest that maybe you should take a chill pill potatonet, especially at this time of year, there's no need to get so irate. I was just trying to point out, that a 'please' or a 'thank you' can go a long way, as you've pointed out, you're being rude. No-body owes you any information on here mate, people are just trying to do favours for each other, that's all. :D
