  2. quick....run......before VR6 arrives........if you leave now you might make it to the border in time...
  3. Nick, frankly you're scaring me. If it aint broke, don't fix it, and when you do fix it, get someone that knows what they're doing :D Your car was a really nice example back when I saw it ( if not a little high ) and that was before you had done all the stuff you've had done at stealth etc, twood be a shame to rip it apart.
  4. What were your rear calipers like?
  5. Yo I gotta mk3 golf SE 1.9 Diesel (( non turbo )) and its schitt. DOn't get me worng, it's like a new car, solid as a rock, but it handles like a boat and is slooooooooooooooooooooooooow.....so a turbo would be nice. However, there's no smoke from mine at all, apart form a little puff of white smoke on start up first thing on a cold morning . Check whether the glow plugs have been changed recently, and the usuall mayo on the oil filler cap etc.

    Water Temp

I'd also be replaceing a few other things if I ever saw 130deg on my oil temp.

    Recaro Q

    :norty:
  9. Gotta be honest, having driven both , a Mk3 Goof is one of the few VAG cars that I would turn down in favour of a rice eater. It's quite subjective, best thing to do is have a drive of both mate and see how you get on.
  10. on the top right hand corner of the posts that haven't been answered will be a delete box..click on it. :D I'm sure there's alot of info on running temps on 16v's. :D

    Water Temp

Not that I know of mate, 106 deg is certainly not anything to worry about oil wise anyway, in the manual it says that if you see 145 deg oil temp you should slow down...so I wouldn't worry.
  12. .................................. well???? where is it then???????

    Water Temp

G60's run hot oil wise if you have a standard oil cooler, especialy an old one. The 16v and 8v I had ran alot cooler than both g60's I had. Also, in all of the raddo's i've had the oil temp would rise on the motorway but would always fall again in traffic etc, not the other way around.
  14. LOL. http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=33456 Still thinking of selling up then Eric?
  15. You learn something new every day, never heard of that before.
  16. Dude, please solve the mystery, what the hell did you mean by the pants thing?....it's had me and my wife giggling all day.
  17. think they're around the same age as corrados ...are we actually engageing into this?... scott_free's gonna wake up shortly and think....wooooaahhh....that was some pretty funky acid I took last night...I could have sworn I was on a corrado forum spouting bollox about painting nissans...he's never gonna come back here.... EDIT--apologies though if i'm wrong...that's just my guess :)
  18. ^^^^^^^ Ignore him, he just works here Trimsport sell rear badges , not grill badges unfortunately. I'm pretty certain that VAG still sell early g60 grill badges ( there's a difference between old and new badges and they don't fit unless you get the right one. )
  19. ...Well I can't think of a more apropriate place can you? I was actually gonna join the Austin Alegro club site to ask the where best place to get a G-lader supercharger serviced is.
  20. I would say that it certainly is. I am assuming that you have recaro seats then? I have to say that i've not heard of heated cloth seats before.
  21. My mate just sold his 200sx...alot of car for the money...but they aren't cheap to run at all.
  22. ^^^^ Ignore him, he just works here. J was the crossover year dude, some are early and some are late...has it got a 3 slat or 5 slat grill ?
