  7. Never heard of them mate but those vr6's certainly look nice and are priced very reasonably , especially for trader prices.
  8. I had a go...forgot to stop at taking the seat out tho so I had to use a box...
  9. I've gotta say that's the biggest difference for me...just getting in the car in the morning and turning the key and going with no worries of something blowing up, parking it anywhere and being able to put crap in there that I wouldn't have dreamed of in the raddo..( like dogs etc ))
  10. feck..i don't remember the grill being like that....that's a bit mutton dressed as lamb that is. My mate had a Austin Meastro Vanden plas when he passed his test, and fair do's to the thing it was a rock...buy the time he got rid of it the interior had been stripped out by drunken fools and there wasn't an unkicked panel on the thing. He drove it with practicaly no oil for a few thousand miles and then topped it up and it ran fine again....a tank. Anyway...I hope that answers your question comprehensivly Fritz

  14. The other thing I notice is the seats in raddo's are bloody great....i've done 12 hour drive's in my corrado and got out feeling pretty much fine (( if not a little trippy from the white line syndrome )) but after a couple of hours in the golf I need to get out and stretch my legs.

  16. Hmmm. It's a tricky question because everyone's situation is different. I paid just over 900 quid for my P reg 1.9 diesel goof, 10 months T&T, you could eat your dinner out of the engine bay...it's gleaming...there is NO smoke whatsoever from the exhaust, all new belts etc, it's a solid as a rock, since buying it 3 weeks ago me and wifey have put 1600 miles on it and it hasn't missed a beat and has cost peanuts in fuel BUT......I miss my raddo a hell of alot. To be honest , I don't really miss the g60 as I was too paranoid about driving it..it was like having an eggshell car, but the overall feel of the corrado is just unbeatable for me. There is NO doubt that you will miss your car alot....in my opinion....the perfect car would be like supercharged's car..the TDI raddo...perfect in my eyes. Only sell your car if you have to....otherwise I think you'l regret selling it....there's a difference between missing your car and regreting selling it... :wink:

  18. I think that would have happened no matter where he was driving it Baz, from what I understand going on a RR is no different from ragging the balls out of your car anywhere else. ...which is why I never did it! lol

I just sold my Aqua blue pearl g60 for £2k :( If you look around you could get yourself a little bargain like the guy that bought mine, or the guy that bought RACK's (( from here )) It depends really on how much expendable income you've got that you're prepared to lash out on your car, it's not just the initial outlay, the g60 will cost you more to keep running properly than a 16v will. I'm sure whatever you buy you'l enjoy. Good Luck

Dare I say it, maybe the engine wasn't too strong before you spent the money on high performance parts? I find it hard to believe that all your problems are due to just bad luck? EDIT--going by the sound you describe...have you checked for turkeys in the engine bay?
  23. I know it's been ingnored, but I have to agree with that, is there something you could do to bring out the shine? Very brave to have a go at painting yourself, fair play to you.
