I'm pretty sure it'l tell what relay is what on the back of the fuse box cover mate...deffo worth trying that first. I'd suggest changing your fuel filter if it hasn't been done already, it's not an expensive or difficult job and every time iv'e done it on a raddo the filter has been very clogged up.

Have you tested whether your stat is working dude?..maybe it's stuck open?

Bonjour. On my swanky mk3 goof, one of the previous owners decided to have a go at moving the aerial from the front p/s wing to the roof (( beesting )) . Basically im getting interference when the whether's damp, and I can see the seel isn't as tight as can be, what would the best stuff to use be?...I dont want to use superglue :wink: Cheers

yeah, can you hear the fuel pump prime when you turn the key?

and is it a standard exhaust ?...if it's been replaced with an aftermarket one it ups the chances of it being a de-cat i'd say.

nah doubt it, unless it was mentioned of a failure document for some reason, have you looked at the centre pipe?

I find it really strange because having done many many thousands of miles, a huge ammount for someone of my age, all of which have been done in powerfull-ish cars around town and across Britain over the last 10 years, i've never had a speeding fine, and that's not to say that I obay the speed limits, I've had a few flashes from static camera's in this country and in S.France but never had a letter through the door. It make's me wonder whether they are sometimes leaniant (sp?) with taxi's.Wierd. ...now where's the nearest wood for me to touch?

( the bit under the middle of the car ) As far as I know, the only way you could tell is by looking at it and seeing if it's a straight through pipe, or it has a cat in the middle.

Saps a bit more than 2-3 quid out of your wallet though, if I remember correctly the 'sport cat' to go with my system was 2/3 of the price of my full de-cat system fron tto back!. This clamping down here and clamping down there, it's enough to drive you out of the country.

..Yeah I can see your logic, but following that same line of thought surly a car that states " Use 98 RON " on the petrol flap would make the car run less effectivly when using lower RON fuel...like I've said before ..my raddo idoled slightly more lumpy the one time I used 95 RON (( when i first bought it )) so I didnt use it again. Not suggesting that if i put super unleaded in my 750cc fiat it's gonna make it go like a rocket, but if you have a car designed for use with super then it's better to do so in my un-educated opinion :wink: .

thanks for putting this post up, I regularly drive around the Milton Keynes/Northampton area so will keep an eye out and will pass the description on to friends and family. Sadly, with alarms and immobilisers so good these days, break ins for keys are becoming more common, also a favourite trick is garden canes used as a fishing rod for keys though the letter box, Don't leave your keys on a table/hook in the hall. David. True, although I had some fatherless child come into my bedroom and take my jeans cos the keys to my raddo were in my pocket , it's a foofed up world . :? Hop he manages to get his car back as he left it.

Surly it would struggle to get half of that?...maybe i'm wrong but that seems a hell of alot of money for any raddo.

I reckon , if I had £3k, and I wanted to buy a vr6 in silver, I would deffo come and look at yours, especially as you can be up front and show pics of before and after the little mishap, so that people can see that the damage wasn't exactly bad...at the end of the day I don't see what people expect from a 10+ year old car, most have had a scrape or a knock and been repaired...and if they haven't they comand a higher price. At least with your car they'd know what they were getting. It pissed me off when I was selling my car, people were sending emails asking questions implying that they were looking for a showroom condition g60 for £2k...p1ss takers. It is and still would be a nice example for £3k from what I can make out
