yeah...could have got one that matched though couldnt he?...bar steward. so am i right in thinking that my pump is knakered hence the blanking plate...so i could remove the pump...and there would be no traces of there ever being abs there?

yip...it basicaly incites people to go driving around without insurance cos its such a rip off..thus causing a vicious circle where we all pay more due to the ammount of accidents that happen with uninsured drivers. im told that in Australia you get insurance with your tax for like a set fee typa thing...that sounds a bit more fair.

they are scum...no two ways about it...there's no logic to insurance at all. I dont even want to think of how much they've had off me in the past (( over £3000 per year in some cases! )) yet the minute you need to use their services they are a bag of sh1te.

ahhh..... i see......thats a bit more tricky..... i reckon if it was the same model id be a bit miffed spending 28k on it!theres always a good low millage around for ALOT less than that! then again...i should take what i said back...i wouldnt be first in line..id probebly hang around for a year or 2 for the 1owner 5k on the clock jobbies for a few grand less, (( ive promised myself that i'll NEVER buy a brand new car !))

couldnt agree more....should never have sold it IMHO... the corrado is a REALLY hard act to follow... unless you buy a faster nicer corrado?? but still...if he REALLY doesnt want a 'c' then at least keep it vag....i mean a chavalier or a shitroen saxo is really not the way forward is it? :thumb right:

exactly...so i expect whatever he buys isnt gonna be as quick or fun to drive as his 'c' cos he wants something economical. A polo doesnt seem a bad choice in particular.. whatever i get id rather it was v.a.g!

if the a.b.s was to be deleted...hypothetically speaking of course! ...would the pump be removed...or could it be left there but not in use?

dunno what the top end is like but they are pretty nippy...not a beast...but pretty nippy! yeah..but a golf ...or most cars seem like a bit of a drop from a corrado g40...especially the spec that jimsG60 was. But he wanted a change that was gonna save him money..thats the point eh?....and basically most cars that are economical are either boring....or girls cars like the polo or lup etc? its a tough decision buying a car after a 'c' ! :roll:

my mates got a mk4...and hes got a mint g40 too....he REALLY rates the gti..the interior is great and it really is pretty nippy...not sure about the new one though?

yeah...is there any difference in the brakes that would make them shite if the a.b.s wasnt working/connected?..or would the brakes just act as normal non-abs brakes? YEAH..
