yeah....they seem to have a few bits and pieces that are used in our dearly beloved's...the guy in my local gsf has just bought a 94 2.0 8v...according to him its got exactly the same engine as i have! i think they have extra temp and voltage dials as standard too!

i think the one im on about came out and died off around the same time as rado's did--the early nineties one.

hi..im having nightmares with my 8v raddo all of a sudden! after 18k of trouble free motoring! . first it was running REALLY cold, as in the temp needle would rise when i was idoling but fall back down to the pin when i started driving...so i changed the temp sender switch and that sorted it out, whilst changing the switch i lost a bit of coolant so i put a tad in and off we went. the next day (while a friend was driving it!) the temp went right up and the light started flashing, we put a bit more water in it and it was fine again. a few days later (after driving perfectly for miles!) the temp started rising horribly (oil temp as well) and the light started flashing again. I have noticed that the fan wasnt coming on untill the car was VERY hot and wouldnt stay on for long...so i thought it could be a fan temp sender...so i changed that...and the fan still isnt coming on when it should... it seemed like it was an airlock because ive noticed i bubbling noise when i turn the engine off...ive tried to rid the car of the airlock but this doesnt seem to have an effect...the big hose that goes into the engine seems really hot, yet the water in the header tank doesnt? ...im just confused now!!!! andd i'm coming to the conclusion that im going to have to have the head gasket changed :( ..can anyone think of anything else worth trying first??? cheers guys!

Hi,, just wondering what peoples thoughts are on the audi coupe (not tt!), they look pretty cool and seem to be pretty cheap for what they are but ive never been in one! they seem to do a good range of engines and interior spec...anyone got any picies ?

hi, my mates done a mk1 2.0 16v conversion with twin webbers...hes got everything in and sorted but it wont start...as in theres no spark...any suggestions??

im more popeye before the spinache then after the spinache!...got the bit on!..but the fans still not cutting in....the pipes dont seem to be getting hot..and nor does the water if i leave the lid off...is that sayin no circulation??...maybe water pump??...or has my head gasket gone?

ive got an 8v and they can be hard to find certain parts(such as exhausts!) because not all companies list the 8v corrado. I've even had the "computer says noooo" answer at the vw main dealers when it comes to finding the 8v corrado on the system!. You'll find that some companies such as Scorpion (not that i suggest you buy one!) do list exhausts for corrado 8v's in magazines like PVW so they do exist!, you could also consider a custom made exhaust from the likes of Longlife (although i've heard bad things about them!). I have opted to keep my exhaust standard at the mo but if/when i decide to put a aftermarket one on i will probebly contact the company i pick (maybe supersprint) directly and speak to someone, thats what i suggest you do!. good luck mate

hi, i gotta 2.0 8v and its been overheating...i think ive narrowed the problem down to the fan not turning on when it should...as in i think its coming on too late. would this be due to a sensor? i can see what looks like a plug with leads on it going into the bottom of the rad..is this the sensor i need? and how do i go about changing it???also any ideas on the price of a new sensor??...thanks guys. :) :? :( :D
