  1. i'm no skyrocket expert but...................isn't the rear qtr window of the mk2 more flatter compared to the near identical "kick-up" rear qtr window that the mk1 Skyrocket and Corrado have in common?????
  2. perhaps he would have been better suited with the plate i spotted today on a TT roadster at my work..........S111YTT
  3. yip deffo new aux coolant pump time.......as for the others if you can afford it.........just replace all the switches and coolant temp senders while getting the aux coolant pump done...........be as well budget for a coolant change too(G12+)............if you replace them one by one the law of sod or murphy will have you replacing them within weeks or months of each other anyway
  4. moving to body mods(more suited there than parts for sale)
  5. one thing that really i just can't understand is.............the little feature for the new Golf GTI why do VW(UK) still insist on having that silver mk1 with the front GTI badge about 1mile to high up on the grille
  6. you'll only have a driveshaft near there if you have either A)went a gone RWD or B) went and gone AWD more that likely its something to do with the rear axle beam, some sort of heatshield or maybe a brake disc backing plate/guard
  7. well must admit ive got a bit of a soft spot for the old 924.........even the *cough* "common myth" VW van engine'd one *cough*........twas actually more identical to the old Audi 100 (70's-early 80's)engine......but in detuned form was also used in the VW LT i've in a way got the best of both.........that is the 924's svelte body(so slightly better aerodynamics) and the 944's "proper" PORSCHE engine......in my 924S
  8. moonlight blue is the colour
  9. late ones are chalk n cheese from the "early" one clarkson had tho.............besides .its a car that you basically need to be able to afford the purchase price(and some) again to maintain properly.......but IMHO a nice sorted late 928 is something to behold.....AWESOME motors........had one overtake me a couple of years back when i was doing 60mph on a country road.......just dissappeared into the horizon before you knew it
  10. must admit i quite like the little "nods" to the originals..... the red trim round the grille and the tartan-esque cloth seats for instance :D
  11. gonna be taping this as from what ive heard Clarkson,May and Hammond buy 3 budget Porkers(924 944 and i think a 928) and race them  .........anyone able to get this on to a PC too btw?
  12. well tbh Kev m8..........the "original" Sierra RS Cosworth and Escort RS Cosworth still float my boat

    Teledial alloys?

those on the red C look like "fake" tele-dials to me.............my 924S has the smallest tele-dials Porsche made (6x15's) and they look like this the tele-dials you are thinking of buying where the same size as the ones on my old 944 turbo

    BBS Caps

my choice would be between the black with silver lettering or the silver with chrome lettering.............gold IMHO wouln't look right on a silver motor if you know what i mean
  15. i assume the wheel bolts are not loose each time you've checked it?...........and that they are a bit longer than the standard size bolts to allow for the spacers??
  16. it should be ok if its just started knocking but get it replaced(CV boot and by the sounds of it CV joint) ASAP and try to refrain from leaving it too long...........also get the geometry done at the same time as the CV joint is replaced........might also be worth you checking/replacing the CV boot on the other side at the same time..........$tealer will obviously have the parts and pretty sure GS&F/EuroCarParts will also be able to supply too

    Will they fit ?

18 x 10's?????????................you mad???? ...........can't see them fitting without arch mods and IIRC BBS LM's are only available in 5-stud fitments
  18. you won't need H&R springs with the coil-overs btw  .............i bought my koni coil-overs from TSr at Inters 2003..............and IIRC Joe M has also bought Koni coil-overs from them fairly recently

    Teledial alloys?

maybe its me but............IMHO some Porsche wheels suit the C perfectly and some don't........i'm afraid (again) IMHO tele-dials only suit being on Porsches........design 90's and Cups suit the C down to the ground tho.........btw those tele-dials would have been the O/E rims on a pre-88 944 turbo 8)
  20. na i think it was the fact he paid for her services
  21. even noticed the cooler air temps in my old 924S tonigh    t...........she was running like a dream.........pity the back-end wasn't too happy about it
  22. ive got a Milltek on mine and *touch* wood aint had any problems in the 2 years since fitting........tho being honest i prefer the look of the magnex more and from what ive heard they are very good quality too  ..........so really not helping you much but at least you can narrow it down to 2
