i saw my first Golf Limited in person the other day...
vr6storm replied to Red=Fast's topic in General Car Chat
well not strictly true..........limited's go for around the £7-£8k mark in britain.........a friend of mine just sold his limited in the summer for under £8k IIRC and his was AFAIK the only RHD(conversion) in the UK -
here's to the next 200k :D
-
pretty sure tbh the part kev is meaning is on the later VR style engines in the later Golf's ie V6 4-motion's

i dunno about down south but(pretty sure this is UK-wide)............up here in bonnie Scotland there is new legislation regarding disposal fo cars...........it has to be a bona-fide car-scrapper that picks it up now...........as i asked my in-law's just recently(they are in Waste management btw) about borrowing one of their skip-lorry's and picking up a m8's scrapper and was told that cos they don't have the licence for picking cars up that i couldn't do it
-
well tbh it shouldn't be connected to the elec.adjustment as the heated mirror glass is switched on/off with the heated rear window

depending if it is truly minted inside and out.........IMO you're looking at between £1500 and £2500 max as the miles aint doing it any favours (although the mileage is just below average for the year etc)

there was thread on a week or so ago regarding some dodgy Corrado "specialist" which just happened to be Expert Technik who were also going out of business next week etc so just a case of putting 2 and 2 together  ...............the thing is ive only heard about this company in just the past 3 months and their claims to be a "corrado specialist".............fair enough if you were refering to Autotek as being "corrado specialists" afterall for a few years they were the place to find decent quality examples of C's(tho admittedly optimisticly priced ones)...........i just wonder if there are/is any satisfied Corrado buyer that has bought from Expert Technik :?:

engine trouble....... fuel pump? what could it be? -updated
vr6storm replied to bighairymuppet's topic in Archive
well there is the outside chance that it might just need the filter...........and tbh if u were fitting a new pump you'd be as well changing the filter anyway................so change the filter 1st and see if it makes a difference  -
IMHO leave it on!..................its there for a purpose afterall

engine trouble....... fuel pump? what could it be? -updated
vr6storm replied to bighairymuppet's topic in Archive
IIRC the valver has 2 fuel pumps................one in the tank and one "outside" of the tank.....perhaps one is dying?.......i take its recently had a fuel filter to eliminate that? -
it wasn't expert technik you bought the car from by any chance?
-

marty hasn't really got internet access too much tbh...............as for wheels he's got some planned but first i think he's getting some minor wee cosmetics done to it(stonechips etc).....i can tell you one thing tho...........he'll cherish that car and keep it well clean

RESULT!!...........a mate has just bought a P-plate Golf VR this month too......he paid near £4.5k too..........although it was pretty well loaded having Climate control and leather........ I've just sold my P plate golf VR6 (well a few weeks ago) in satin silver with leather and climate for £4.5k. Could it be the same car? if it was in manchester and a baldy dude that bought it
-
not sure that you'll need to uprate the fuel pump for supercharging Joe...........best to ask all those with chargers on their VR's.............
-
nope...........the logbook only says VR6 too............
