well tbh jim..........she could well give you a run for yer money  ............about 10 years ago Autocar tested a RAV4 against a mk5 RS 2000 4x4 to see how they compared given that they were both 4WD...........up to 80mph the RAV4 was always in front of the RS2000........now bear in mind the RS2000 was pretty comparable to the Mk3 Golf GTi 16v LOL but you know that the MK5 RS2000 only had 150bhp and with 4WD to slow it down even more.... Jim's 200bhp beasty will blow it away  very true.....but i was making the point that on paper the RAV4 had the smaller output and the RS had more........130-ish bhp IIRC versus 150bhp......and of course slightly inferior aerodynamics.......obviously jim's G60 would blast it away but it wouldn't be as comprhensive a victory as i'm sure he would imagine -
any twisties involved?.......if its just a straight traffic light grand prix.........my money is on the alfa i'm afraid to say
-
blimey, it really is quite standard then! And a real minter  well to be fair on the guy selling......bar the front fog light being cracked, 2 scratches down to the primer, stonechipped bonnet and marked aftermarket alloys its not too far of being mint..........a wee bit of paint to sort the scratches and chips a new fog-light and stick on the refurbished(so i was told)solitudes and it would be mint.......the thing is he's vastly overpricing it and in a way is under the illusion its still going to make the strong money they did use to make 3-4 years ago

well it shouldn't affect yer insurance at least
-
well........must admit.....ive done much the same tonight.........went looking at a Porsche 924S........but the exact one i used to own from 1993-1994....knew it was my old one(even though its had a number-plate change in between and been asigned a different reg) just from the colour it was described as in the advert in the local paper........anyway i'm in a bit of a dilemma.....cos the thing looks as near mint as when i owned it....bar a small blister on the drivers wing and some micro-blistering on the bonnet and of course some stonechips too........anyway the guy is wanting £2400 for it and must say ive even phoned up about getting it under classic car insurance, found out i can get it cheaply insured on a limited miles policy for under £300 Fully Comp.......spoke to the wife who's only concern is parking in the street etc so very very tempted.............just means asking the bank to extend my loan for an extra year too

yip thats the one i viewed last friday for lord neil........it is a very nice Corrado and is near mint for its age......but it is seriously overpriced.........which i even told the guy selling it....but i'm afraid he seems to be going on the fact it is rare a bit too much........oh and i forgot to mention on the description of it that its needing a new front fog due to the existing one being cracked.............

What's the biggest bunch of crap stealer has ever told you?
vr6storm replied to kvwloon's topic in General Car Chat
yeah i suppose it is "cheap" for a genuine BBS wheel......but i would imagine that VW Parts HQ (in der fatherland)will have a decent stock of these...........thankfully its easy enough to pick them up cheap-ish 2nd-hand......in fact i paid £10 for a round and true...but in need of refurb solitude at Inters last year......... -

vr6storm replied to bighairymuppet's topic in Archive
tbh it sounds more like condensation than anything serious......especially if its only a teaspoons worth..........i take it it mainly does it after starting-up initially? -
