  1. IIRC VR6 std VW top mounts are recommended for coilovers
  2. forgot about that one too  .................also toyota do a salmon pink kind of colour  on RAV4's and others too
  3. if its a "dealer"-fit A/C one...........the controls should be just above the cigar lighter.........basically just 2 small buttons on the same panel as the cigar lighter like the one on the picture below i have seen another one that has used the ABS warning light position on the dash for the controls and re-located the ABS light to the switch blank beside the H/Light switch as for the price £3500 sounds like a bargain for a well-specced C VR but at the same time it could well have some "history" that will make re-sale a bit harder.........i know of one that sounds pretty similar that a friend of a friend was tempted by........nice Dragon Green paint, black leather interior,A/C and cat D!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!........which practically made it worthless    .......so get it HPi'd first
  4. no the switches are of different design........the later E/W switches are more similar to Mk3 Golf ones...while the early switches are more rectangular in design
  5. IIRC Ford had a met.pink escort cabriolet   round about the late 80's early 90's
  6. looking good bob..........hope were getting to see it in the flesh in a fortnights time at the RR day  .............
  7. get it lowered first......IMO the standard wheels still look damn cool especially once the C has been lowered....other than that its a damn nice VR you have there by the looks of it

    FIRE!!!!

jeeeeeezzzzz.............thankfully your ok m8.....anyway i think the G60 is prone to leaking fuel at the fuel feed pipe area of the engine........normally just a case of tightening up the offending pipe but obviously yours will have sufered a bit of fire/smoke damage etc........or perhaps you had engine oil leaking on to the exhaust manifold causing it to ignite
  9. IIRC somewhere round the £400 mark     i think the valver's main problem is that it lives in the shadow of both the G60 and VR6 and is seen as less desirable for some strange reason :? :( .........ok it aint the fastest coupe on the go.....but its still a car with a 130mph-ish potential and under 9 seconds to 60mph......not exactly slow in my book
  10.     feckin hate t*** like that.............hope all goes well with them sorting the damage...........and ppl who just treat a car as a means of getting from A-to-B hack me off too........just cos they are just after simple and basic transport doesnt give them the right to just shrug off damaging your property........
  11. hehehehehe  believe it or not ive heard of a cheaper running one that was bought late last year......tho also in need of MoT but nothing too drastic
  12. you've also got to remember too that your mate's Mk1 will be a fair bit lighter than your C
  13. might be an old, crap handling and braked yank-tank fordie...............but i bet it turns heads all the time 8) 8) 8)
  14. do a search on the forum and you'll find plenty webspace regarding it.............anyway not going to make it into another thread about the G60 v VR6 debate  so i'll lock this one up  BTW.....welcome to the forum :D
  15. try and keep your car for sale to just one thread please  ......anyway locking this one up.......and good luck with the sale of it.....looks quite a bargain imo
  16. AFAIK only leather or cloth was available as an option..........whats more than likely to have happened is that its had a re-trim in the past and been 1/2 leathered then
  17. K489SHS....black VR6 on holburn street heading to garthdee just off the hardgate end....just after 5pm tonight.....i was travelling in a red XR4x4 so didnt wave
  18. more than likely a "lesser" T5 owner going for the T5-R look  .......tbh ive only just read a wee article on the T5-R in April's issue of Classic Cars......so its kind of fresh in my memory about there only being the 2 "official" colours........and of course the one with blue lights and cone carrying capabilities
  19. ...... not this is a sign of me getting old etc.....but IIRC T5-R's were only available in black or yellow. ........and i think in white with blue lights :-P ........the T5 was available in a fair few other colours tho
  20. .....well trevor rice pulled it off with his solitudes............but tbh his storm was mystic blue whic seemed to suit it better.............as jim said go for the sparkly look...like ive got on mine 8) ........makes them look just a wee bit different.....tho to keep them sparkly be prepared to give them a wee wash every 2 days
  21. providing its a genuine car and a genuine storm.......snap it up.......then again its a leathered up VR......so even if its not a storm.......still snap it up
  22. awwww c'mon guys.........leave poor Henny alone........he's probably still P1$$3d from last nite  :-P :-P :-P
