  1. .....just a pity yer mate didn't know about one for sale last year or 2002......club member had a very nice lush sounding "all" options picked 8v for sale(or was contemplating selling)..........blackberry or a burgandy :?: :?: colour with cream leather etc owned from new too......something along the lines of M1 RTL or similar reg......i'm sure campaign knows the car in question
  2. a very satisfied Golf Vr owner up here thanks to Biggrim  ........even met up with us near glasgow which was a bit out of his way too.........also very pleased with the manuals he sold me and a couple of mates
  3. steady chubby   ......you'll have me missus worried.....anyway glad you were happy with them.....and thanks very much for the payment

brian i'm perfectly calm so please dont bother patronising me...........as for this paranoia lets just put it down to perhaps me reading into your post too deeply(then again having experienced your snide remarks in the past  )......perhaps we should both leave this thread so it can continue on leather re-trims........and not let it degrade into a point-scoring exercise which you seem to want it too............if you want to carry this on MSN or PM then feel free to do so  mailto:[email protected]

    Corrado VR6 MPG ?

well i came from a BMW 318ti (so 1.8 16v 140bhp) that averaged around 25-26mpg round town.......into my storm that averages 22-23mpg round the same distances and conditions......3mpg isnt too bad a mpg loss considering the better drive and better performance of the C VR......so would imagine coming from a GTi would be pretty simislar give or take a couple of mpg's

yes i DO understand english  ......do you though??.........PMSL!!!!    ...........btw if you clean leather too often it actually strips it of the oils that keep it supple and so therefore dries it out.....even using leather conditioner is only recommended so many times in a year...........i'm assuming that you were in someway refering to me as being lazy cos my interior has the "lived-in" look most of the time(hence my "care to elaborate" post)?????......try working 6 days a week and not having the luxury of a "works" van(not that i need one in my job(s)of course)to commute to and from my workplaces......(tried using covers but they keep slipping off)

care to elaborate????
  8. brian.......if you've just seen pics of alex's C then how do you know that, that is its true colour(which i'm no way saying it isnt just pointing out that pic to computer can make a difference)??........you've only seen Glenn's C at the RR day when just about every car there was covered in road grime  so not exactly ideal comparison to Ross's motor let alone Alex's minter.....i would imagine that Glenn has taken the time to cross-reference the data sticker on his C to what the colour code is

  11. Was thinking the same thing mate erm......well Checkpoint in Aberdeen did  ......though no cutting AFAIK was involved and the changer fitted in nice and snugly
  12. you didn't happen to buy yer C from Inverbervie/Johnshaven area just south of Aberdeen by any chance????............if you did then chubbybrown from the forum was also after it.......but you got there before him.......anyway looks and sounds like a nice C 8)
  13. keep it......if you are already thinking about regretting if you sold it......imagine how bad you'd feel if you did sell and DID REGRET it
  14. pretty sure you need the floorpan
  15. can't remember the actual post title either......but if you search Fat tony's previous posts you'll find it......or i think SNS's website has details too
  16. its maybe had cloth recaro's or leather seats in it previously and these have been taken out at some point............as a rule leather seats came with seat heating as standard and i think the cloth recaro option had them too (though could well been optional------mate's J-plate 16v had cloth elec Recaro's but no seat heating)............never seen or heard of the standard VW sports seats in cloth coming with seat heating on the C tbh
  17. i think they have plenty R32's and the like to play with so don't worry about yer motor in their care  and only if you are in the VWCGB will you get any discount and parts club isn't available unless you already have a trade account with speccy cars.......besides i think the parts dept aint gonna be too generous with discount these days struan
  18. ahhhh martin's aka dub16's motor...........its being causing a lot of grief to Aberdeen beach.com users........some have even thought its had a VR transplant    :-P :-P
  19. Danillo's does it for me.....especially those wheels 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

  22. nice one jim............this will be another record........a 3rd member's gallery appearance for it
  23. yip thats the one!!!.........though mine seems to have been fixed......the other thing that was noticed was the relay just above it had come loose quite a bit and of course it looked very much like the original fuses.......so near 9 years from a fuse aint too bad
