Corrado spotting (old one from 2003 - dont use!)
vr6storm replied to CazzaVR's topic in General Car Chat
i would even go as far as saying that your colour(on a uk-car) is probably as rare if not rarer than mystic blue(which is a storm only colour on a C....so only 250  ).........i'm definately a fan of it -
................wept!!!!!!!!!!!

5-10 bhp for only £75 isn't that bad though

storms are only in mystic blue or classic green  mystic blue can look purple in sunlight though.....definetly not aubergine and you'll have a long wait til you see another the same colour 8) as yours too,i've only seen one other that colour up here and there is quite a few C's up in aberdeen hth -
but if the finished article looks crap then the "quality" worksmanship doesn't really shine through.........i'd be with bananaman there i'm afraid, apart from maybe improved lighting using mk4 lights, why put a newer models parts on to a car thats headlights are unique to the car in the first place(i'm right in thinking rallye lights are just ever so slightly different am i?).....just my £0.02 spent

so you'll win the award for the nicest under bonnet plumbing on sunday then    LOL

the front end treatment of the 2nd one looks more like a late 80's lada prototype!!!!!!!! why the fcuk spoil the lines of a timeless classic by doing that and as for the asre of the first one.....i'm thinking jayce and his wheeled warriors here

WHATEVER YOU DO.................DON'T USE MORE THAN A VERY FINE SPRAY IF YOU DO THIS.....................AS I'M PRETTY SURE YOU RUN THE RISK OF HYDRAULICALLY LOCKING YOUR ENGINE........SIMILAR TO DRIVING THROUGH FLOODWATER AND SERIOUSLY DAMAGING YOUR ENGINE

i know on the storm's bbs solitudes that you can fit either the bbs logo or vw's logo centre caps and you can get the vw ones from gpc........though imo i would leave the speedline logo on

Will 205/50 R15 tyres fit on my Sebring alloys?!
vr6storm replied to Dave_Corrado16v's topic in General Car Chat
pretty sure that they'll have a wee casting mark with 6jx15...either in between some spokes or underneath the centre cap type thing hth -
chris i think you might have a wee problem myself.....as far as i'm aware and i'm sure kevhaywire will confirm too,the vr6 is quite a hot running engine....my water temp guage sits at approx 95-100 on motorway and country road driving and creeps up to 110 sometimes in traffic  ....though to be honest the guage is not that accurate,i had my m8 check the water temp reading with his vag-com and when my guage shows 100 its really 92 degrees and when it reaches 110 its gone up to 97.5 degrees then the fan cuts in and lowers it to approx 92 degrees also the highest i've seen with my oil-temp(after some hi-speed motorway driving)is 116,normally it gets up to 102-106 around town and as much as 108 if i'm having some fun  .....i use vw's synta-gold fully synthetic oil in mine, but i don't know if that would have any sort of temp effect anyway i had my thermostat replaced a few months ago,due to the fact that the temp guage was creeping up high, the bottom hose was stone cold while the top one was roasting and when i switched the engine off the cooling fans stayed on while the key was in the ignition

vr6storm replied to Andy947's topic in General Car Chat

Corrado rear bench - Warning Triangle and First Aid Kit.....
vr6storm replied to Andy947's topic in General Car Chat
some do some don't also if you are after a first-aid kit i think halfords do one that fits the space or you could see if your local vw-dealer still does them both -
i might be interested........so if you don't mind getting me a quote......though if i do decide to go for it,it s probably going to be next year...but if you don't mind getting me a rough idea of how much it would cost me i would really appreaciate it m8.......btw its for bbs solitudes
-
i'll even let you try my modded airbox....don't worry its not swiss-cheesed but it looks stock and is as good as an induction kit
-
don't get me wrong stevebi also agree that you have to pay more for minters but....£9k for an immaculate low mile vr6 is unrealistic.......bear in mind average condition vr6's can be had for under £5k and if you check on the topic "vr6 for sale in aberdeen"you'll see that there is a just under 100k miler for £4700,this car is pretty close to being in mint condition and has had a full engine rebuild this year too plus it has good condition leather interior if your brother thinks he can get £9k for his then let him try.......imo he'll still have it for sale months later,as i've said before i wouldn't even think of asking £9k for my 53k mile storm(after getting some very minor paintwork and alloys refurbed to make mine immaculate/A1),at the end of the day its your cash if you want to spend £9k on it then do...........but you'll be paying well over the odds
-
btw nice standard looking vr6........but you already know what i think of it.......you still enjoying it paul?
-
is it one of these new "stealth" Corrado's........invisible to gatsos and plod!!LOL
-
all mk2 golf side repeaters should be square....the same as the corrado....though you now get the oval ones.......non-too keen on the oval ones though
-
Im going to stick with the VR and get some new shocks *:) Scott you know it makes sense m8
