  1. the £105 fee includes £25 retention for a year AND the transfer fee(£80) the donor car just gets an age related replacement plate,the DVLA don't charge any extra or if you transfer from one car direct to another eg when you change vehicles then its only the £80 transfer fee required when the missus changed from her SportKa to her Freelander 2 in October 2007 thats all we had to pay at any rate
  2. speak to Dave Manson up here G,he knows the ins and outs of VR6 ECU's and does his own mapping now IIRC,I'm sure a 24v lump is within his capabilities
  3. not having a G-lader myself but from what ive heard over the years has been that jabba are more focused on the 20V turbo engines and G-werks are more G-lader focused

  5. your car will go back to its original number unless its changed in a different registration area,ie if your car was orignally reg'd in Aberdeen and you take the number off and re-register it in say London it will be given a spare London area reg that is age related to it,obviously this won't be the case if it started off with a cherished number btw these reg valuations I'd take with the biggest bucket of salt available

  7. the 924 Turbo had discs all round,same as the 924S which used 944 running gear Not what I meant matey... I know they had rear disks, but the hand brake was done with a drum in the center as the calipers don't have a handbrake mechanism... Early 911s did this too (dunno about the later ones, I've not had one in bits! :lol: ) ahh got you now :dorky: yeah thats correct

  13. Was tempted by the 16" Teledials but just decided against the hassle just to go an inch bigger. If I'm honest about 20% of my decision is keeping in the scene but the rest is due to the fact that I think Porsche have designed some of the best looking OEM wheels on the planet. Most cars roll out with chunky generic crap that looks like an after thought but not so with Porsche, and as VW have always had such a close relationship with them I think they sit pretty well on their wheels. its your motor at the end of the day but Porsche can use some shockingly bad looking wheels too,the Boxster ones you have pictured are nowhere near as nice looking as the standard VR6 speedline,I find that a lot of people put on Porsche wheels just purely to say they have Porsche wheels on their car,maybe because I've owned Porsches before owning a VW that makes me so against seeing them used in that way,who knows :shrug: don't even start me on split-rim so called Turbo twists :gag: :bad-words: :epicfail:
  14. you could go for 944 Turbo teledials which are 16inch and look beefier however like Kev I just don't think they suit the Corrado one bit,in fact IMHO NO Porsche wheels go with anything other than Porsches and tbh they are popular as its mainly about scene points for most people

  20. cool thanks for that I shall pass the good review on.....he's looking at the V6 mind but I've heard they are pretty solid across the board, although I did read the V6 is a bit gutless. I think its more of a cruiser than a sports coupe though :shrug: there's also 2 V6's engines to choose from too,the 2.6 and 2.8

Exactly,there has always been talk of the NEW Capri since the Capri was retired in 87,and we've had the Probe,Puma and Cougar Coupes in all those intervening years,aside from the Puma,both the Probe and Cougar which were the closest to the Capri in concept/size weren't exactly big sellers,so tbh i can't see a Focus based coupe being one either
  22. OI! I was here first :lol: :lol: :lol: cheers the pics were taking by a guy I know who is a bit of a dab hand at capturing mean n moody shots tbh tho the RX's are just as good looking and are more manageable to keep clean IMHO,but genuine LM's are a bit rarer

    I couldn't not let you have a drive after you driving all the way up to Moray Steve,although that was when it was in need of a new clutch so you didn't quite get the full on 993 experience :norty: not a problem,i paid a wee bit over the odds at the time,I paid £26.5k for it in October 2005 at the time it had 19k miles on the speedo(alas the speedo had a documented change at 40k miles ) so basically close on 60k miles,the RS aerokit to add to an un-kitted car is easily close to £3k!!!!,so in a way it wasn't too dear
  25. BTW the article wasn't saying that a mint mk1 rocco(they just used a mint one for reference pics) was scrapped,just that one obviously with a MOT but in need of restoration was,the list was showing what other cars have been scrapped,I doubt if they would be minters too
