Advice on lumpy, erratic 2.0 16v - being a bit crap again..
scarlett replied to Jim's topic in Engine Bay
I found that I could easily get 32-34 mpg when driving the VR to work, which is a damn sight better than the 25 I currently get from my Audi.... sorry, OT! -

just caught up on this Jim - glad to hear she is all better... not to sure about the fuel consuption though, does sound a bit much. I remember reading somewhere that a KR cam'd Valver will do less MPG than standard but I done Scotland and back in yours and could get there on just under a full tank - and wasnt exactly sitting at 60 all the way.... lol! hope you get to the bottom of it, if there is a prob.... -
good stuff - nice to know she is still going strong.... :)
-
there are rados on here that are still goimg strong with over 300,000 so I'd say your G has plenty of life in it yet! my last rado was at 167,000 when I sold it....
-
yeah cheers guys for just getting me in trouble with my boss for having tits on my pc screen in work....

Help, i'm tepmted to sell my corrado!!!
scarlett replied to matt_corradovr6's topic in General Car Chat
if your fed up with it then sell it, its just a car - but be warned you will end up wanting one again... I sold mine 6 months ago and even though I cant have another one I do find myself scouring for sale adverts for my 'next' corrado.... -
yeah, well done for doing something different rather than the same old thing, we see the same wheels over and over again on Rados that it seems like people are too scared to try something different for fear of someone else not liking it.... I think they'll look fab on a red rado.... :)

Hi...! I am 5'5" and found that the 'rado was perfectly propeortioned for me. I could reach the pedals, see all around me and reach for 1st gear without any hassle (had a Jeep once that I had to stretch right out my seat to put it in first - it was huuuuge!). Plus in the 'Rado I could reach everything with the seat at its lowest setting and the back of the seat angled back rather than the stereotypical girlie driver nose on the steering wheel thing... buy one, you wont regret it!!!!!

must make choosing cars a bit limited  i quite like the lupo, would't say no to a gti as a 2nd car ... and I quite like Mushrooms ;) - You're not your average girlie though are you Scarlett ;) lol!! nooooo! definately not! :) The corrado is quite a good girls car - the mirror on the sunvisor is just perfect for putting make up on with.....
-
LUPOS!!! uuuggghhh...... i'd rather eat mushrooms that drive a Lupo... lol!! too small and I now refuse to drive anything under a 2.6 and with less than 6 cylinders...

yeah Wendy, good point - I always wanted to meet a bloke with a 'Rado - ended up meeting the bloke and then having to buy him the b!oody VR....!! :) quite seriously though there are loads of girls with rados....

How many C owners plan to have a Porsche one day?
scarlett replied to Phil K's topic in General Car Chat
i want an early 80's 911... in red.... :) however, have had a few attempts to persuade Dave to buy a Porche - a 944 S2 but had no luck yet - might keep up with the nagging and see if we can get one next year when we juggle the finances about.... -
if your not enjoying owning it any more then it may be time to move on - you can always get another one... we all know when we sell our C's that we will regret it, I do in a way, however there are loads of great cars out there...! I hate to say it but its just a car, theres no point stressing over it!
-
its curling tongs and straightening irons.... :) would have thought you would have known that with those flowing locks you have.....
-
give it a couple of months for the car prices to go up and you'll get your money - Daves Vr is lying on the drive waiting on the bodywork getting done, the sad fact is that we'd rather get shot as she is and loose money than spend the time/cash sorting it... Having been Corradoless now for a while it aint that bad - my £350 Audi 80 has cost me exactly nothing in maintenance, is as solid as a rock and still makes a nice noise! I see Corrados almost everyday and instantly think oooh!! but in reality I am glad not to have one now, i had forgotten how carefree motoring could be!!! at the end of the day you can always come back - we will, its just not the right time for us to have a rado, I'll be glad when the Vr is gone (and I never, ever thought i'd say that.....) although I will have to drive her one last time before she goes.... :(
-
yay!!! another girlie!!! welcome Jen - that budget should get you a nice C (get a 2ltr :) ) hope you find something suitable soon...

Not the best morning.....UPDATED 07/09/06 (TWICE!!)
scarlett replied to BigTartanJudge's topic in General Car Chat
mate - i honestly dont know what to say to that other than they are all fcuking muppets and I dont know how you havnt went postal with them all by now... please, please stick with it, your car was a fantastic example and a bit of you will regret it if you dont persevere... I hope things get better soon.... -
yes, yes you all are that bad!!! it always amuses me how quickly a thread with a girl introducing herself on here grows - this has already hit 3 pages, would it be that big if it were a young bloke...? at the end of the day its harmless fun, and human nature..... :) your all pretty harmless... most of you.....
-
yeah - theres quite a few of us.... welcome.

novice car owners that think they know it all !!!
scarlett replied to dubrado's topic in General Car Chat
its just jealousy cos he has to drive a womens car..... :) (not slagging of Ka's, they are fun little things but most definately only for girls.... :) ) -
heheh... I slate women drivers on a regular basis so don't worry bout it... lol!
-
lol!!! Furkz, thats soooo true!!! I'd rather have a set of Borbets than Jimmy Choos anyday.... Even toyed with the idea of putting a set of 16" Borbet C's on my Audi runabout but couldnt justify the fact they would get so filthy... loving the new wheels Furkz, veeeeeeeeery niiiice.... :)
-
estorils with the backs painted black and the faces diamond cut - theres a golf at NR that has this done, I'll try to find a pic.... the Estoril is a classic wheel IMO.... suits the rado to a tee... although as you have a G60 maybe you should stick with a set of G60 original BBS - they look fabby.... :)
-
looks nice mate - congrats on the vr6 purchase.....
-
hiya.. the leads being loose could have caused the car to run lumpy - the fact you have plugged everything in correctly and securely could have solevd the issue. i would see how she goes and if you have any further issues the get the car VAG-COM'd and see if anything shows - there are a few faults the VR can have that cause it to run a bit lumpy, thankfully they seem to be easily resolved... good luck and enjoy your car!!!
