Just an easy route than pigging about trying to get the connectors. Try here http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.eu/VWP-onlinestore/terminalsnonins/mouldingterms.php .

Why don't you go to any 1980's/early 1990's scrapper and remove the loom and plug and then just splice the replacement loom in? .

Can't answer all..... a) Yes on level ground, it will gravity feed out of the valve block bleed nipples normally. b) ?? c) I would think there is, given what happens normally in a) - yes. Unless you are needing VCDS to look to see if you have ABS faults, VCDS is no use. Ignore the Bentley with diagnostics bleeding and pump driving while bleeding. The UK RHD Corrado Teves IV brake system should be bleed like a normal system via the bleed nipples at each wheel caliper. d) Perhaps its not the brakes ABS valve block but the ABS ECU that is playing up. You really need a diagnostics VCDS look over to get a baseline to work from. .

Yes it is a 1.2 watt bulb but I would not think about uprating it as that will have longer term an effect on the plastic light pipes that start near the bulb to get the light around the controller. Being in a confined space with not real ventilation, uprating could affect the light pipe pickup edges like inside the headlight switch. .

That could explain a lot with the way the Scirocco's electric throttle works. ,

The secret is not go in with a small value (£) order 1st time. .

Was it a DSG by any chance? No reverse sensors on it. They are not good for reversing with, even if you can drive. Back left & right quarters are almost blind despite using the wing mirrors. And it bulges out front or back more than one thinks. Plus its a wide car. Had to get out of a spot this afternoon with mine. Haven't a clue at times where the corners are for tight manoeuvring even after 18 months. Mk2 Scirocco or Corrado would have been no problem at all in the same spot. .

They only sell the left side. 57 euro's plus 19% VAT. + shipping. Dealers with discount or TPS. .

Given the angle, what was the damage to the front bumper bottom edge? .
-
Easy, yours is either a left hooker or it has a spoiler control box from a LHD. And it should be 75mph (120kph) up, 12.5mph (20kph) down. UK earlies up at 45 mph, laters up at 56 mph officially. All are +/- 1.8 mph or 3kph. .

What would the interest be in new late headlight switches? Pricing Update.

OK guys, got this switch off Matt. I'll summarise finding towards the weekend with photos etc. when I've had time to do all the tests necessary. Still to test electrically but right now are any of you electronic geeks or know someone? Its got the normal switch slider inside for the sidelights/headlights but there's an electronic circuit inside for the dimmer control. It uses a Pulse Width Modulation IC IL6083. In another part of the circuit there is a STP60NF06 power MOSFET. Ain't going to work out the circuit. But I can guess what each is doing. 1) The big question is why does a dash fitted with LEDs not illuminate? (In theory, this the best way to control dimming of LED circuits.) 2) Is the heatsink back mounting plate of the MOSFET TO-220 case live or electrically insulated from the MOSFET? (There is a earth wire internally near to this back plate in the switch.) Its a circuit similar to this diagram. . -
Rubber pipe connections: In the body..... Black plastic is the fuel pump high pressure output from the fuel tank. Blue is the fuel return to tank fuel. White is the fuel tank to carbon cannister petrol vapours. Have known a couple of VR6's leak here before. The rubber pipes to the fuel rail perish over time. Have a close look at the black plastic pipe where it joins the rubber pipe. Thats under the most pressure from the fuel system pump. (4 bar typical) But you could have a sticking fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail (front left) which is causing excessive pressure. So it only leaks when the fuel pressure regulator sticks and it over pressures. Again its the black plastic/rubber pipe connection to look at closely. .

If you want it really quiet, put Castrol Magnatec in it. But still think you have a tappet problem, if the tappets have been changed, then maybe one of the feed lines is not to good. Hence why I wrote above about Comma Easi Flush. . .

Concours passes have been released a week ago Eric.... .
-
That noise is a cam/tappet noise and sounds like one of the hydraulic tappets is not fully pressurised.. Try a dose of engine cleaner like Comma Easi Engine Flush and run round with it in the oil. Wynn's won't work. .

Check on the leads are each roughly 5 Kohm resistance plus connections of connectors to leads are OK. Coil pack, may be but sparying the RAC "stuff" suggests an insulation leakage around the lead ends. C.P. substitution will be the only way unless something is visibly wrong when you inspect the C.P.. .
-
Given your recent history, I would look at the ignition leads. Also remember the ignition fires the correct cylinder plus it also fires its twin even though its on the exhaust cycle. I suspect a cylinder is not firing properly and its then being fired when the exhaust valve is open. The coil pack fires in pairs all the time. Plus check its not now blown off the ISV silencer (black canister next to the ISV). .

I did those jobs back in 1998 with Castrol LM bearing grease. The windows are still smoothly operate today as does the door handle mechanisms. .

No blue wire in that build either, in use anywhere or directly to the rad fan motor. .
-
I assumed it was Stage 3 for the blue wire but its not documented. .
-
If red/white (1st stage) and red/black (2nd stage) have 12 volts at the fan connector and the 3rd stage runs.... Then the main suspect is the fan motor as with it running on the 3rd stage confirms the earth (brown) is OK. Stage 1 & 2 use electrical shunting to cut the speed down. Don't understand your blue wire. The 3rd stage is red/yellow or red/green for 1995 model year and the wiring is the same for all VR6's from 1992 - 1995. .
