Nice motor... what are the plans??

I've recently replace my rear beam bushes... My car was very twitchy under high speed braking... After i did the bushes it was a different car!! Not too much of a big job to do if your ok with the spanners. On a VR6 the rear brake compensator does get in the way when trying to drop the rear axle out of the car. My experience is that the bolts heads holding this baby on WILL go round. One way around this is to push the bolt holding the beam on through until it hits the brake compensator cut it off and replace it with a new one from VAG put in from the opposite direction... I hope this ramble makes some sense.

Not confident about the phyisics behind it but fitting a new cap did sort my over heating problem out after changing just about everything else. If its already been changed i'm fresh out of ideas :D -

When the system is held under pressure i.e. the cap is a good one... the water has a higher boiling temperature "i think"... anyway cured mine with identical symptoms... worth a go and not too expensive. Mine would boil sat on the driveway when i still had my old nakered head tank cap on. -

Can't be bothered to read all of this thread so appologies if this has already been suggested but replace the screw cap on the header tank. These are very cheap from GSF. If there is a problem with the cap the system will not pressure up and therefore the water will boil very quickly... I had this with the first corrado i ever had and replaced everything before i realised. -
I'd wish they'd just give me the money and sit down before they hurt themselves.

Thats a good figure im sure you lose about 25 - 30 % through gear box..

How many horses?? nice looker
-
They do look cool but how much performance are you willing to trade off vs looks???
-
Mine are 17"... did have 18" and didn't enjoy the ride at all... be a little careful buying replicas... Mine weigh a ton and do nothing for performance. If i hadn't uprated my brakes to 312mm i'd be straight back to my original speedlines
-
That all looks cool... you can test it on my vr if you like :D
-
got them on my blue vr6... check it out http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=41838

Mine does the same taps a little from cold for a while then its as sweet as a nut.... scared now... let me know what you find jonny... how many miles has your C done?

If you want growl and performance go for a BMC CDA. Move the Carbon Canister from its position below the OEM air box and stick it on its side below the BMC CDA. Use about 5 - 6 inches of the flexable hose you get with the CDA and duct cold air up through the hole left by the CC. All fits perfectly and you should be hoovering up some reasonable cold air. You can then then take the external temp sensor and mount it some on the flexable hose... this way you can keep an eye on your intake air temp.

I'm sure GSF do them a little cheaper... bout £25 - £30 i think

Just fitted a ground loop isolator myself and it seemed to cure almost 100% of any unwanted noise.

Maybe try this.. http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?Mod ... &source=1&
