Well today i set about turning the flash pink bodywork back to flash red. Reason being i have bought a cover for it to try and protect it a bit over the winter and wanted it nice a clean before putting it on. Lots of t-cut, autoglym srp, turtle wax colour magic later its looking flash RED again....yay.....and the cover fits a treat, could do with it being about 4-6 inches longer but hey, couldnt we all  Lets see if it stays during the winter winds..... Also confirmed during weashing the car that the leak soaking my carpets is definitely coming from the foliage seal area......next job to do once i can get to vw and order the parts.

this thread shows the serious amount of work that you have put in, but boy, hasnt it paid off. The car looks amazing and that interior :luvlove: Will be watching this as i too have done the auto to manual, so will keep an eye out for all the questions that stumped me that i can now help others with  Keep up the good work.

The make of the wind deflectors your on about will be Heko, very good quality from what i've heard. i'll definitely be getting some of these. And the car looks awesome phil.

yeah, in that shot the rado just looks so tough, proper meaningful.....and them wheels are just awesome. Always said 5 spokes suit a corrado best......just like some azev a's mmmm

Now that is one nice rado.....FACT

Headlining out tonight, was suprised at how easy this was to remove.....cant wait to trim it now. Also on a plus point my sunroof drainage points are spot on, all clear and no leaking from here... Also, my sunroof..... :censored: pretty certain its the cable on the lhs thats snapped, reason i say this is it'll tilt, but when i try to lower it the rhs comes back lovely, the left isnt budging.....am i right that its the cable?? How high does the sunroof lift when in tilt mode, as mine doesnt seem very high (probably open just over an inch), is this the norm or have i got other problems? Cheers all.

ha ha, i learnt it from another lad a fews years ago when i was in the forces......used to do some stupid things back then. I'm certain its not good for my health but probably only do it once or twice a year if it comes up in conversation......tis a good party trick. you can feel it hitting the back of you nasal cavity where it joins your throt though.

i have a 93 vr, late body, dash, door cards....but has early seats. I think the later seats look more modern/nicer, however having had both the early seats really fit my body well, really hug you and hold you in, the later seats i tended to have some movement in. Proper mismatch my car.....haha

these look great polished up. Dont think i'd have the patience to do them by hand though........definitely a drill/dremel ftw.... Also i'd go polished over painted too.

let me know how easy you found removing the headling, this is my next job i reckon.

huge thanks to tallpaul1977 for sending me a bonnet release cable. Perfect condition, excellent price, top all round bloke. Cheers Paul. Stu.

Good idea Hasan, it seems quite dense so that would make sense.

I have the same problem.....grrr. I'm gonna do all the above to hopefully rectify the problem. Although it looks like its coming from the foliage seal after getting the carpet up. Headlining out sounds fun....not. Still it gives me an excuse to retrim it while its out.

'd say the ride height was perfect really. This is what i'll be aiming for i reckon. good mix of looking good, yet still driveable. Looking good.

Today, well tonight, i stripped out the wet carpet in preparation for tracking down the leak. Looks as if its coming from the area of the foliage grill seal. This would also make sense as the clip was off the grill, so a good seal is not gonna be achieved. Think i'm also gonna check the sunroof seals and door skin membranes too. Gotta love soaking wet original sound deadening....good for nothing now. Think i'm gonna get some of the acoustic sound deadening, and then place some decent waterproof underlay on top to give it some spongyness for when the carpet goes back in. Need to hire a carpet cleaner now too. PS. also found the obligatory broken glass under the carpet... PPS. coilies still arent on.....aiming to get the car back on the road at the start of april, so gonna fit them next year once the winter is out the way, pointless having them sitting on it through the winter if its not being used.

now that is how a coupe should look........interesting to pitch it against an R8, same kinda price, quattro etc, could be quite interesting.

Saw Grown ups last week, typical adam sandler, very funny, very predictable, but still a worthy 7.5/10.

Looking forward to this....

Crikey, what a thread resurrection.....2006 to 2010. Well i didnt get it, seems so long ago now i cant remember whether it was my first or second rado i was looking for, guessing my second if i was looking for a vr. And yes i bought a really mint vr, 74k etc....but then like a d*ckhead got rid of it shortly after due to running costs.....i've learnt my lesson since and am now on my third rado, again a vr which i'm never getting rid of, just converted it to a manual and carried out a full engine rebuild.....its gonna be slow progress but will get there in the end...hoping to get it back on the road in april...... Oh and majik, ignore my pm, see what you're on about now...
