That is extreme rat rodding and a good example of what rat look is, not the rubbish you see at shows sporting the "rat" look with a forced rusty bonnet, roof bars, stickers.
-
Lol, even i read it as side mount. Its not so much as what it can make though as you know its maintaining that over the course of prolonged boost use.
-
Air ride too.

Sorry Kev i disagree, its poor on a standard car never mind 270bhp. I do agree bigger is always better though.

Corrado Gearbox, are they the same as other VR6 Gearboxes?

Whats actually diff in any, we talking mountings, bell housings, ratios? -
All comes down to what look you prefer, road or race.

Was it the "special 1.6" model, it is a truly, magnificently, terrible car, sooooooo gutless. I got in saw the 8k rev limit on the RPM gauge, started the engine and it almost sounded quite fruity on 1st start up, almost got a little excited thinking it could be quite fun, i'm thinking "this might have a hint of Type R in it" (high revving VTEC beauty) sure enough it does rev high and thats it, revs and revs makes lots of noise and every1 is overtaking me.......???

Well the Mrs was in a car accident on Friday in her new Polo. Some guy in a Ford Ranger pick up decided to pull out on her as she was passing the junction and went straight into the side of her Polo pushing her to the opposite side of the road and in the process screwing the full passenger side up on her car from front to back, the T*T. She has the usual whiplash and back injury but apart from that she is fine, and thank god it was a safer new car even though classed as a small car held up pretty well, refering to the "How safe do you feel in your Corrado" thread, well, now not very. Anyway back on topic, we have just taken delivery of our courtesy car, yes thats right a 07 Mazda 3 special lol. Do not buy 1 they are crap, its a 1.6 and not much quicker than the 1.2 Polo, less comfort, only thing going for it is the spec, although prob all standard stuff its the usual electric everything and air con its still more than the Polo. Which would i have if i had a choice........... Easy, VW all the way over Jap crap.

They basically Recaro Speed seats? Have to say the pic with the TT seats looks mighty good as usually all the 1's i have seen in Corrado's look naff and wrong but i like those alot, just needs a retrim to match better. 8)

Remember that in a straight line pulling hard can have the same effect as cornering hard with regards to the oil migrating in the sump. Is it def a beep and not a whoosh, now i have never heard it and cant remember the name of it but on a standard G60 once the pressure reaches 0.7 bar roughly 10psi the valve on the ISV opens to vent excess boost pressure off to prevent overboosting and running lean. As your on full throttle the 2nd throttle butterfly is closed so no boost pressure is been recirculated back to the charger, hence why you only notice it when giving it some, whilst driving on part throttle and rising the revs slower the 2nd butterfly is open so the boost is half been used and half recirculated and none venting through the ISV valve. So yes it may be normal if its more this kind of noise and not a beep possibly and why your car runs normal.

As far as i know its the 1.8 16v pump u need as thats what i run and yes it goes under the car just in front of the rear N/S wheel and fed from the in tank pump

The only time mine does that is if its low on oil, but saying that it has a windage tray fitted as well, and i do go round some corners really fast. Do standardish cars really do that. If it does it often try adding half litre extra to compensate for the high cornering forces, track dayers use this technique.

Loads of people have done it. To get the best chemical bond for strength you need to use the same plastic, so source a 2nd bumper to chop the bits you need out of it and make thin strips out of it so the plastic weld stick is the same material and the bumper is the same material.

He is miles away

Hopefully some trouble free motoring finally Neil. Mate has 1 good car they are :D only his is auto which i despise. His had a new engine before he got it after the 1st lasted 100k or so and im sure it was done by BMW but dont know whether the guy paid or not.

As can be seen also it 'fits most models' also, so obviously must be a well engineered elastic band. Why waste ££££'s on expensive big power rebuilds when you can have 1 of these. Expect ebay to be flooded with them soon.

Is it possible to skim down the mounting face instead of filling it to get a flat mounting face as that will raise the ET then redrill them and as you say that will raise the ET so you can get them pulled into the arch more, only issue then is the clearance to the suspension and the wheel clearing the brakes. Lots of options really but lots of work whichever way you do it, IMHO it would be worth the work to get them fitted would look ace.
-
As i said before pull the arches slightly and get smaller dishes on, then like Furks you can have the rim sticking out past the arches but with stretched tyres the tread will be inside the arch then still legal. If i had the money Darren i would snap these off you in a shot and what i suggested is pretty much what i would do, whatever you decide to do, for 9's to fit good without rubbing and be low you will need to do some arch work.

Unless you upgrade other parts so you need to flow more fuel there is no point in getting bigger injectors and if you did fit bigger injectors it may run slightly worse as it may over fuel slightly, how noticeable it would be i dont know but to sort it out if it was to run rich would need a remap.
-
It would be a reasonable assumption to say the power levels you hope to achieve will be achievable. Out of a similar set up on standard management it made 260bhp and 250lb/ft of torque on mine and was a really smooth hard pulling drive.
-
It was added by Corradorun mate, horrifying if that actually happened to any of us.
-
Think its 83mm bore and a slight stroke of the crank. I was going and hopefully am going for those valve sizes on mine too and yes revvy is the word.
-
Funny how you say that as thats 1 reason why it was pulled from production as well that it would cost too much to meet the safety regs that came in.

I feel perfectly fine in mine, seen some smashed up from pretty bad crashes and they look pretty solid. Wonder how they would do on the euro NCAP rating if they did it now?
