Well thanks for the compliment but you must have mistaken it for somebody else's as if you looked right you would have seen it's not actually that nice. To clear up any confusion i am the going bald 1 talking to VR6south and my car is the green corrado (obviously) with the bonnet up, that pic is from the saturday. edition38007.jpg[/attachment:2d59vh24]

Personal taste for me the pearl effect mainly look the best.

Anybody new to the G-lader/G60 engine or have you ever wondered how it works then for the video used for dealer training. Even i learnt something.

I'm lucky I have my girlfriend around. I don't think it's because she likes the car or anything but whenever I entertain the notion of selling she does everything in her power to try and stop me. I think it's because she couldn't handle me on the mope. Same as me then, she knows how much i want to keep it, she originally hated it but 2 years on and she would have 1 herself. Whenever we go out she always says lets go in yours  instead of her 55 plate Polo. End of the day i now have very little spare cash but i pay all my bills on time and have alot to show for the money all spent, i'm at the bottom so the only way is up.

Yes. The reason been the crank sensor tells the ignition when to fire.

I was in the same situation 18 months ago but somebody told me when i was thinking of sellin up, it only takes the 1st 12-18 months to get on your feet, 18 months in and im still broke as much as you :( lol, but i do still have my car :D and its honestly going no where.

I was going to say that as well that it will invalidate any thatcham category, yes it should have a gear sensor so it will not start if left in gear, why dont you go and see a reputable dealer and get them to set the remote buttons for the remote start so you have to press 2 buttons to start it as that will drastically reduce the chances of it starting on random occasions when you have the keys in the pocket.

I think you specifically need a Clifford if thats what you have then good. Then it comes down to using 1 auxillary output on the alarm, depending which model alarm you have ill determine how many auxillaries you have, so if its a lower model you will have 1 most likely, so alls good if nothing has already been added as an extra along the lines, like blackjax for example. (which is cool as well) Last i heard it was £200 a couple of years ago.

A good place to discuss your 20vt conversions and any issues you may have with running etc. Just for vwdeviant it should be a sticky as more people are running them in Corrado's.
-
All i can suggest is look into the AGU's, they're the best for tuning as they have the big port head and the early throttle cable and not DBW for even more ease of installation. Also im sure if you get a decoded 1 you could use it on any engine but with a poss remap due to the different 20vt options depending on what engine you choose, seen people selling them and quite cheaply as well so if you could pick up an engine cheap enough, get an decoded ECU and a loom you should be cooking with gas.

Ultima.............??? 8) :D

Mine handles 300bhp and 340lb/ft perfectly fine and they can take more. Only issue is if like me you do a day at santa pod it starts to struggle, mine slips ever so slightly after been there for a day but its still hardly noticable.
-
Why not use 1 of the earlier 20v ECU's that can be decoded? When i spoke to Jabba about the 20v going in my car, even Elton said use the standard management even though i have the standalone Haltech, and he suggested the 1 that can be decoded. So that way you can have perfect running with all the VAG sensors for VAG-COM and as far as i remember you dont need the keys ignition etc. But i dont know which year or engines those came from.
-
What have you not got, the actual gauges or the panel that they fit into? As far as i know they were not a standard thing to have the gauges, possibly a factory optional extra, same as the cassette holder you could have there i presume. And welcome :D

Can think of QPE but you prob know of those.

When replacing any suspension/steering components its always best to get the cars geometry realigned again.

Also CTWG60 i mentioned in your gearbox thread ages ago about using the Ibiza box but you needed more info on it well if you fancy doing some more investigation i have further details now. Its the Seat Ibiza Cupra (not the R) 2001 gearbox, apparently another straight swap just about as anoter possible option to us G60 owners. See how it compares to the other 2?
-
That is my mental effort :thumb right: So no more input i take it on the gearbox that you suggest, its just more of an opinion that it is better no ifs or buts, that you give me and not really feeling the help my friend? Is a little more explanation on the opinion that you share too much hard work Basically your trying to suggest a better alternative yet this is really all you have said and when i ask for a litle more info all i got was :brickwall: throw me a fricking bone here  were on a discussion board Having only used the VR and G60 gears i can only comment on those and only try to imagine how much longer the CTN will be?

Honestly i do hear you, i have looked over and over this gear situation for a good year now, i see when i change gear i will be lower in the rev range where more torque is available as opposed to the shorter gearing and been higher up the rev range and using less torque, i just cant make my mind up about how much "brutality" i may lose as people have fitted them and say their good but not fitted to an engine like mine, spoke to various people and its coming out at a draw as to which would be best, it seems as though the CTN will make more of fast cruiser, long acceleration with good in gear speeds but taking longer to get there whilst the VR6 will give quicker acceleration with the same in gear speeds pretty much. All i can do is try it but all i want to do is do it once and once only, so im trying to gather all i can to find the best most suitable replacement for my needs. Can you give a really good explanation now you have been using it for a while, yes we have been here before :D but its all good, thats why were on here after all to chat and help each other out, and i have by no means fully decided on which to use.

I would say its more a fighter jet cockpit and a curry everytime. The real question we have to ask ourselves is Ham or Cheese???

I dont have it on my G60 H plate 91 and to be honest i dont want the car deciding when to intervene whilst im driving, just upgrade your front brake set up to some nice 4 pots.
