  1. What are you trying to suggest Jim??? You know I'm a lover, not a fighter... although that approach could work too. In all seriousness though, that's really bad form of your neighbour, I'd lose my temper I think. I'm always available for the old turd through the letterbox too. Good luck in getting it sorted!
  2. I think we've had a few rados there now, probably at least 7 or 8 at once including my 4. Must have gotten to work on a good portion of forum cars now too. I'll have to sort a bbq out in the summer for a few people to come along to. Try to smash the rado record... ROFL at "leisure centre"....
  3. There will be a slight discrepancy in the front corners of the wings and bonnet, as the late bonnet is more curved at the front, and the wings match this, but it shouldn't be too noticeable. Plenty of people have fitted late bonnets to early cars, so you should get an idea of the slight differences.
  4. Yeah I was, but it's easier to get at the timing marks etc with the engine out. It's only a couple more bolts etc, easier to fit the gearbox, and made it easier to do engine/gearbox mounts. Plus I don't really fit in the engine bay very easily :(
  5. Well, I am actually a UK importer for these items. delivery can be a bit steep though. I've 80x70x250cm units in stock...
  6. ROFL... Nice crack eh??? Cheers for yours, Dinkus', and Tekara's help on Saturday. The car was out and running around 9pm and seems quite happy now. Ready to start the next clutch and chain job now then....

    Axle stands

I'd drive it onto some sleepers. no chance of it falling off then, or any damage to the chassis from the axle stands...
  8. :( That's bad news. Where did it get hit? Try Sandydown body shop between Stockbridge and Winchester.
  9. Are you still having this issue then?
  10. It's got 2 rado header tanks too...
  11. Sounds liek slave cylinder. You can take it out and check, or could be your release bearing being knackered.. If you need to remove the slave, you can take the pivot bolt out the gear shift tower to pull it out the way a bit, and you will need to take the gearbox support arm off, 2x17mm bolts and the bolt through the gearbox mount to whip that out.
  12. There's really nothing to it.... 3 bolts for the thermostat housing, then the pipe is just pushed into the water pump housing, there's one water pipe connected halfway down it to remove too....
  13. just caught the end of it... cheers for the tip!!!

    KR engine help

i'd guess the injectors are probably leaking a bit. Mine used to do that. Have you got the temp sensor on the corner of the head next to the oil filler? if it's missing, your under bonnet temps when sat up might be a bit high and the fuel is being vapourised in the injector lines, the sensor controls the fan after run.
  15. I will be most interested in the summer, I've got a full VR rebuild to do with a lot of suspension components etc
  16. That looks cool.... Might have to rethink my idea of white calipers....
  17. Dunno, didn't ask... Sorry, that's not the most constructive respnse.
  18. Quick update, he replied to say that he can't log in at the moment, but, that's not exactly stopping him from ringing either of you...
  19. Do a search, this gets covered loads....
  20. I'd just text him to tell him about this too...
  21. Pull the front off, it gives you far better access, gives you the opportunity to do remedial work to other parts and doesn't take that long either. You can jack the engine up, but the old crack pipes are a right bugger to remove., and the hose from the oil cooler is awkward to swap over. remember to order a thermostat housing to head seal. It's kinda triangular, and your old one will be stretched and nasty.
  22. Yeah, funny that, isn't it! He's been quite quick in the past when mentioning this thread when other people have been selling things, and mentioning froum rules in peoples for sale threads, statrst to smack of double standards now...
  23. Good work dude. Made it back to my house without having any 'issues' earlier :)
