    ISV Removal

just wondering now I have deleted my ISV, what should the wires that feed it be, I assume I leave them as is but just wantde to check that they shouldnt be joined together ?
  2. YEah mate when I put a cam and big valve head on the car it certainly didnt decrease the torque, I guess the car either needs setting up correctly or the charger needs and inspection, have a good look for any leaks first though or maybe the iginition timing is slightly out, can make a huge differnce
  3. The link used to work i have a printed version at home somewhere I will try and dig it out, as for the map sensor I am not in a great rush as I only have an 18psi pulley at the mo, but will be swapping to a 22psi when I get teh sensor and everything, so will wait on you. I will try an dfind the wiring diagram when I get home.
  4. thanks mate, I will have a scour around over the coming week or so for a passat one, but if I cant find one or they want big ££ for them I will give you a shout, what psi you hoping to hit ?
  5. OK thanks mate I may well take you up on the offer. are yours a straight swap ? for the standard sender or is there a bit of rewiring needed ?
  6. Hi Darren, how easy it to come by these sensors in the UK ?
  7. yeah ignition switch could be a problem, if it is brken and holding the starter engaged whilst driving, this just happened to mine an have trashed the starter motor. lost all lights at the same time.
  8. well if you mean big end shells, did mine year and half ago thrashed it straight away, probably not the best thing to do but cant help myself with a g, hard no to grow horns  , anyway had not problems with them since, just lots of oil on the bearings before hand.
  9. ordered this for the time being... http://shop.comdir.co.uk/Products.aspx? ... Template=T
  10. not a sudden loss of power but can see the guage drop from 17psi to 15si I have a big vlave head and large intercoller which can account froa loss but I find it strange that once time you put your foot to the floor and se 17psi and teh next time its 15psi and with sucha a small pulley its got to be slipping a bit !!
  11. I have been having problems with the boost levels on my car for the last few months, since I have had evrything setup correctly, I am running a 53mm pulley on a lysholm and sometimes when I am out for a spin I can see 17-18psi on teh guage and sometimes only 15psi, now having checked over for any leaks I can only assume taht I am suffering from belt slip, especially as I am running such a small pulley size. I am due to go down a size soon to the 50mm and wondered if anyone can recommend any good belt dressing to try and eliminate this problem. Ideally I will want a toothed belt setup in the future but will have to find someone to make me the pulleys taht size, but in the mean time if anyone has any ideas please let me know. I am sure all the g40 boys used to run some kind of belt dressing before toothed belts came along ?
  12. try visiting http://www.dubforce.net and contacting Dubcharged via PM as this is bilal's username on there I think he is on the corrado forum as well, but dubforce is well worth a visit for anything force induction.
  13. would only really consider a lysholm type charger instead of a G, as the roots can fail to perform at teh top end and will also fail to get going like a GLader. Only my 2p worth but heres a read from the pitsop forums http://www.pitstopdevelopments.com/foru ... 5752b0519a

    redex??

for all the forced induction lot, its another good reason to fit water injection
  15. not sure which ones to go for but I have lots of good things about the new iridium plugs will try an dfind out which plugs suit g60, personally though have been running w5dpo.
  16. I think you can change the MAP sensor in teh g60 ECU, I am sure some people have done this to enable turbos with high boost to be used with g60 ecu, but could be wrong here, Darren ? as for the chip get an SNS map for your setup, dont know whetehr BBm supply these or not but they are the best, and I know they cater for all types of charger.
  17. intake is fine being 3" and 2.5" outlet remember teh charger is just sucking in what it needs. my intake is about 90mm and the outlet about 2.5" although it does go to 2.25" at one point.
  18. I think routing over the top of the charger is fine, I had my air filter near the fan and it was sucking in hot air, I know most people arent likely to make this mistake but thought it was worth a mention
  19. I think Sprintex or some one found that when the charegr was sucking in hot air from the engine bay taht it was contributing to the rotors getting too hot inside and causing failure.
  20. Hi Darren, do you know what dimensions have changed on this autorotor compared to the 2087 as I have the silencing kit and if I do replace my current charger dont really want to have to source or make another silencer. (big headache in more ways than one)
  21. nice one darren, this is the larger capacity charger then !, from the spreadsheet it looks like this doesnt rev as highly as the 2087 but then I guess at the higher capacity your flowing enough air at the slightly lower revs, let me know how you get on with this charger as I am thinking of a possible second project or perhaps just uprate the lysholm, as I feel the lower revs are safer. is this charger going on a g60 ?, have also read recently that the lysholm must have a cold inlet temp to reduce the risk of the charger getting hot (so I guess that may have contributed to my charger meltling the first time round) just thought the info might be useful.
