  1. what engine is this on? any pictures?
  2. i wanted the latest/newest registered i could get when buying, even though i didn't know about all the differences. I think most people who don't eat, drink and live corrado will see a storm or late vr6 as the one to get. But as said by Neil, so many other factors will influence what you buy, unless your an avid collector prepared to travel the country
  3. lol the bullets look like some form of mini robot penis must get my headlight loom fitted, any pics of how yours looks, wiring etc?
  4. Am sure i heard this mentioned somewhere, could of been here, or another forum. What is known about this? i've got coilovers but only because lowering kits weren't "high" enough for me :cuckoo: :camp: so i have them wound almost right up, hardly any movement in the spring. can you remove helper springs and then have the full travel of the main spring? this may be a stupid/impossible question, i haven't gone out and looked at the suspension since thinking about this
  5. yep, collinite 476 or the 915, they do an even heavier duty wax, more for fleet/industry vehicles but i image its hard work to apply/remove
  6. could be air in the system causing extra pressure
  7. this happened to me, thermohousing went. water pipe burst rad burst thing kept breaking and leaking coolant, i've now replaced the lot and with upgraded stuff where possible but it can get expensive and i probably didn't need the gruvenparts bits. VW Rad with Gruvenparts rad neck VW aux water pump with Gruvenparts Bracket Gruvenparts crack pipe VW Thermostat housing Set of Samco water hoses with new clips VW main water pump (i still haven't done this yet)
  8. looking super 8) wheels work really well
  9. this is awesome, i'd love to build something like that
  10. yep, depending how dirty the car is, i've used the same bar about 4-5 times.
  11. same here, i think the gap is always there, had mine out loads and always got it back in ok, but the gap is still there
  12. well thats a very nice offer, i am near stansted airport, cm6 2lx
  13. nice one Rob, just the sort of advice i wanted to hear. what is the alignment tool?
  14. i fitted beru leads and coilpack to mine, and solved the problem. Definatley try the spraying water test on the coilpack
  15. i had planned to take the slam panel off etc
  16. is it a lot of work to get engine out, i want to do engine mounts and gearbox mounts while i'm there, also main water pump just unsure whether to buy a crane and stand before i buy all the parts
  17. Just a quick question, i know theres the guide but does the engine need removing if your only doing the clutch? i'll probably come out anyway so i can clean things up. About to buy an engine crane and a stand, Clarke stuff? long reach 1 ton crane, can i use that and do i need to remove the bonnet?
  18. i didn't fit any mk4 clips when i did the conversion, i ordered new clips that hold the handbrake cable to the rear axle, but that was standard corrado stuff
  19. i got all the bits in the end and its fitted now, really pleased with it, sounds perfect, in fact i can hardly hear it, which is ideal. just a bummer that got it fitted, did about 150miles and the clutch has given up, so its sat back where it was again
  20. is it best to get all the bits from VW Dealers?
  21. if i just do the clutch for now is there much else worth doing while i'm there (ignoring any engine internals/chains) i'm thinking -main water pump -engine/gearbox mounts -clutch and almost tempted to remove aircon, or get it working
  22. yes, it gets through quite a bit of oil, its coming up to 180,000 miles. Sounds a little rough on startup somedays, also a bit smokey when its cold
  23. pmsl i always think the same when i hear that song too
