  4. Was on a different forum i use and this popped up, thought i'd dump it here as i remembered this thread,..... "mr max As you may have seen in my thread in members gallery, i fancied a change of colour.... This is how we did it  " Firstly, obviously, wash & dry the car, then brought it inside for a more detailed clean, especially in the nooks & crannys...... Decided to start at the front, firstly as bonnets are easy peasy, and secondly so we could do the front and see if we liked it.... Bonnet & wing done chris & i do the front bumper, always quicker with 2. Bumper done, chris starts on side 1. and i start on the splitter (you'll noticed the sides missing in this pic, even us pro's make mistakes!) Side back on, full steam ahead!! Side well under way, Splitter Complete. Side complete, just the skirt to do, but we'll leave that until later! Turn around, side 2 & arse end. Big bloody sticker, side 2 going on Set on the car, where to begin?!! The 2 of us get stuck into side 2, it was getting late and we were getting fed up at this point so speed was of the essense! Starting to take shape. Side complete, that'll do for day one! (well half a day, lol) Day 2, finish round the door seeing as we couldnt even finish that last night  Side done, just the rear bumper & both skirts to do..... Skirt done, looking a little more white now. Car moved over, so we could do the other skirt & have abit more working room for the rear. Also a little more cleaning just to be sure! Rear bumper almost there.... Final touches! Woop woop. Done!!!!!!!! Easy peasy! Just time consuming - Approx time start to finish - 11.5 hours
  5. quick photochop, not too acurate though. I think the amount of modding it would need and the amount of difference it makes, means its not worthwhile
  6. i got a new headunit the other day, and fitted some phoenix gold speakers (QX130) to the front doors, (no amp) and have some infinity speakers in place of the rears. Doesn't sound great to me, only at low volume, as soon as i turn it up loud the speakers distort etc :( is this a sign i need bigger speakers?
  7. Got a new headunit recentely, also bought an ipod to go with it, although i think a shuffle is the only one that doesn't work with it :( But i'm now trying to copy files from itunes, to a usb stick, that i then plug into stereo. Having a few problems and all i can see is that there are two types of file, m4a and m4p. Only one of them shows up on the headunit? Does anyone know much about all this malarky?
  8. its hard to believe for me too  VW charge more than that for a keyring
  9. there is a plastic bit on the end of the metal upright, its where the cable joins, does the cable move around when you press the switch? The plastic thing can snap off
  10. i think i'm going to get a new rack is that right, they only £300 from VW on exchange?
  11. yes thats deffo a crack, mine had them in a few places when i took it off and its much better in wet/damp weather now with a new coilpack. has the new coilpack solved your problem?
  12. would suit a mk5 golf, but not sure they would look good on a rado
  13. can you get eibach springs for the corrado? i know lots of people use them with standard shocks, as they do a 30mm drop
  14. i ordered the alpine last night, found it for £130 so bought an ipod too. can't wait to get it fitted now. Have spent this weekend sorting the doors out, fitted some new speakers and fixed the rattles
  15. you can get silver bulbs for the clear indicators, they flash orange but don't have the "fried egg" look when off

  18. i had an mongoose exhaust with lifetime warranty once. i ripped it off going over a kerb in some floods and snapped all the mounting brackets. they replaced that no questions asked with a whole brand new system. They didn't even want to see it 8)
  19. the weitec springs have a larger diameter top coil btw, so you may need different spring plates i've had the weitec springs and the Pi springs
  20. indeed, i bought a set of four and 3 of them turned out to be bent/buckled or egg shaped :mad2: ended up with 1 wheel for £75
  21. I've seen about 7 corrados in 27yrs years
  22. is there any other signs as to why that spring may of broken? maybe a big impact on the wheel? otherwise if its from fatigue they could be springs in need of replacement or just crap springs, you may replace 1 and then another will snap?
  23. hard to see in the pic but is the top mount upside down? are they late type mounts?
