  1. can't think why its going so quickly, i have a cheapy batt in mine and its lasted well over a year, using it 10 times a day
  2. i think the 1.5v is the wrong one
  3. i've already paided for the corrado one from VW, still waiting for it got another bits of wiring coming. do i really need an auto electrician to come out and take more money off me? or should i just plug everything back together? is it likely to of damaged much else? where should i keep? if the fuses are ok would that suggest everything is alright in the fusebox? thanks for any help
  4. i think thats right anyway, am sure theres a 1.5v and a 12v
  5. i use a 23a 12v, there are two different types with a different "v"
  6. who is? pics of your sister?
  7. i read the mudflaps are poorly fitting on the corrado and cause damage to the paint
  8. blimey that worked well. i might pinch that phrase for my threads
  9. i notice alot of bald people like cars
  10. whatabout this coupe concept from hydnadoaidai http://www.supercars.net/carpics/3971/2 ... Coupe3.jpg http://www.supercars.net/carpics/3971/2 ... Coupe2.jpg http://www.supercars.net/gallery/119513/1627/695734.jpg http://www.supercars.net/gallery/119513/1670/719060.jpg
  11. don't you join two wires together from the headunit and then connect to one wires from the car, i remember doing this once
  12. http://www.pistonheads.com/lotus/defaul ... ryId=17613 8) this is better than pure sex rado on here imo
  13. whatever it is its pretty grim  its like the colour of old peoples clothes/lampshades/old womens hair
  14. the bumpstops are the creamy/white bits in these pics. yes they should be under the black cover, i did fix that  basically when the suspension travels the bumpstop is what stops it hitting metal on metal, if you have less suspension travel the bumpstop will come into action sooner, you may have to take them off and cut them down. it could be your shocks are on their way out too, mine is still bumpy and quite harsh its just part of lowering really
  15. any pics of the painted one? painted? first one looks super tidy, when you say "storm grey" what does that mean?
  16. it can be alot harsher, do you get a lot of thuds/bangs over bumps? i wonder if the bumpstops have been shortened when lowering the suspension?
  17. i'm having trouble sourcing the replacement wiring loom, i refuse to pay £90 at VW and kinda desperate for this part. 2 folks on here have offered me them for £10 but i not heard back from them. the scrap yards don't seem to have a clue, the local place said they have a 16v they are breaking. Do i need the wires from a certain year and model of corrado or are they more or less the same. in VW it wasn't just the wiring loom, was about 4 or 5 parts in total he said i needed????
  18. i really need some help here, car has been stuck in garage since monday night and i'm getting nowhere trying to source a headlight switch loom but not having much joy, no one is getting back in touch, the breakers don't know if they the same part and i refuse to pay £90 at VW are these wiring looms different?
  19. we will take some spares, spare leaf springs, brake parts, light fitings, some engine bits......its very likely stuff will break there is quite a community of people who have done exact same thing, some of them have had things shipped out to them while they been travelling. I spose that the joy of travelling, no dead lines/plans to stick to etc Should be a good adventure, we planning to go for 2010, i spose only time will tell tho
  20. thanks for that tip btw, i would never of figured that out
  21. i think its 12v, it has electronic ignition done already though. and yes, its about 10mpg  but you can drive anywhere, down rivers, over fallen trees, sand dunes 8)
  22. welcome :) i reckon the wheels could look alright with different tyres. what are they?
  23. could be the camber, could be the tyres, could be the greasy roads we have recentley i don't rely/believe the corrado when it says it has TCS
