  1. i stick all mine all with the stuff you can buy from halfords/spar garage, meant for sticking numberplates on, just a double sided sticky foam
  2. whatabout around the wingmirror mounting? am sure i heard that mentioned on here before as a cause of wind noise
  3. it would be a good idea to get something done, i don't quite understand all the diagrams etc, but am sure there are people that do? is it possible to buy a standard loom that came with car to chop about/try and learn whats what etc?
  4. can you see any gap at all? mine was noisy and the gap got worse and worse then something snapped and window wouldn't go up or down and was left with a 4" gap on mine it was the plastic clips that hold the cable on the top and bottom of the vertical runner inside door, the clips break apart and let the cable slip through them. had to replace the whole lot
  5. have you got aircon? that sorts out any condensation in a second :D i know the problem you mean tho about a sheet of water coming from roof when turning, i just don't open window till i've got rid of the water
  6. hehe, anyone got pics of them on a corrado? aren't they a bit of an old man thing to do? :D
  7. That could of been your top mount bearings, mine used to make clunking noises when turning at low speeds (i have weitec coilovers though). I looked at the top mounts when the steering was being turned and they were turning slightly and then twanging back like you described. Turned out to be the top mount bearings in upside down thus not working. i had that problem with the early mounts, which are impossible to fit upside down, they don't have a seperate bearing. not sure what caused it tbh
  8. its pretty straight forward job rear shocks have 1 bolt at bottom and you need to undo mount at top, remove parcel shelf supports first front is similar, two bolts on bottom of strut, undo top mounts.
  9. i think thats just the rear axle bush, not sure corrados have rear ARB's should be one of them each side
  10. its more interesting to look at than the telly
  11. i managed mine twice without springs compressors, but i did have a big mate helping
  12. so a late VR 1995 has screw type fittings and i'm best to get passat ones?
  13. i've literally only driven it about 3miles and was taking it easy as the tracking is way out now, steering wheel isn't straight anymore. i think i will leave it for a while Dom, cba to take it apart again, is hard to tell how it sit on my drive as its far from level  just booked it in with that premier garage in newport to do camber etc, blokey i spoke said he used to have a corrado
  14. i only just got changed them yesterday  from the small amount i've driven i can safely say that turning the wheel is much smoother now, the real test was reversing off my driveway which is up a hill and turning backwards onto road over a dropped kerb. would make lots of noises and feel very wrong, all that has gone away now :D, deffo something to do with top mounts and it felt like the springs were turning, then twanging back??? ride height seems about the same as it was on the weitec springs, am thinking of maybe putting rear down -60mm and leaving front how it is, then it should sit level, but going to wait until i can park it in same place as before and get a pic to see difference
  15. i know naff all about bikes if i'm honest, but part of me can see to experience real speed and thrills you need a bike  kinda tempted to learn to ride
  16. will they fit a VR6 as a suitable upgrade was going to get 288mm from a golf or passat/vento, but know someone with a VRS thinking of getting 312mm anyone know if i can use his calipers, what carriers i'd need etc?
  17. i'm not a big fan, but this is my mates bike, he assures me its good  its an aprilia RSV factory with a few tweeks 130bhp at the wheel and weighs 360lbs bike is a bit dirty and lighting wasn't too good
  18. i know, but i wanted piece of mind
  19. funnily enough i decided to put my standard front grill back on this weekend not sure which i prefer now
  20. here is my reciept i think its the top 2 or 3 bits?
  21. i think i already have them abotu £16 each?
  22. yes it does make some funny twangs/clunks as i turn alot at parking speeds, this is part of the reason i'm putting some different springs on tomorrow, so i can use the late spring plates and late top mounts, at the moment i'm using early style of both and didn't really like the arrangement afterall VW must of revised them for a reason in the later corrados
