  1. That I can. And lived through the experiences that owning one brings, the good and the bad. It's been a beautiful journey without a doubt, one that I will never forget. Who knows, I may try it's competitor next time and see what I think...
  2. Don't get me wrong, the GTR simply just has to be THE best car I have ever driven, without a doubt. As soon as you start driving it, you realise it's something special. The thing is, to get the best, you really need to take it to a track and wring it's neck. At slow speeds, ok not slow but slower, hell even at the speeds that a Corrado would consider quick, it's just cruising and you don't really feel like you're doing anything with it. That coupled with some other factors that have popped up recently, (more than just 1 reason), it's best to get rid of it for the moment. I will be back though. I will definitely be buying one again for sure. This is simply a hiccup in the grand scheme of things :D Oh yeh, the number of people that want to race you and you just think "aw come on, really, in THAT???" is unreal! ---------- Post added at 10:42 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:31 PM ---------- And to live with it on a daily basis, I can't think of a better supercar than a GTR. Taking a lot of practical aspects into account that are required of a daily car, the GTR ticks most of them if not all.
  3. Unfortunately, a lot of my interests in the past and lately are of the type that are quite particular, so I am now used to people thinking I'm weird haha. And funny you say that about use Corrado enthusiasts, I'm getting rid of my GTR soon and bringing the Corrado back out. I'm more happy about the thought of the Corrado back on the road than I am sad about seeing the GTR go....
  4. Lol, I see art in them, for starters. Plus I like camping, use them for chopping wood for camp fire, making fuel etc etc. When I camp, I also like to hunt for my own food, so rabbits, fish etc, things like that. But it started off as art for me. It's also a fascination with the physical properties of a "metal". How sharp it can get, how long it can stay sharp depending on what you put it through etc.
  5. I should receive it next week. I doubt it will be uncomfortable, I have tried other knives with similarly designed handles and have been fine.
  6. I know not a lot of you like knives or have any interest in them but I just recently got one custom made and just had to show it here :D
  7. I just find it strange that the contact point has managed to get to a stage where it can be classed as "needing cleaned" so far down the line when my garage is fairly clean though? I suspect possibly the CTECK charger has packed in? EDIT: If it is the case that the charger is fine and just the terminals are needing cleaned, should I just wipe 'em clean? Or some specific method you would recommend to clean them properly?
  8. That one was also in Halfords, for £60. Thing is, since last Jan I have had a CTEK MultiXS 3600 charger connected up to it, but it obviously has failed around 18months down the line, or did I expect too much from it?
  9. I was actually in Halfords today and that is the one I sorta fancied. But I have been known to be stung before (either in terms of bad the product was, or how expensive it was) because I have been impatient to wait and seek advice from people who know more, or search online for a cheaper price. It's good to know that it's worked well. Anyone else any recommendations? Or should I just go for that one? Do you think it's worth £100?
  10. In relation to this, can anyone recommend a decent jumpstart pack? Ie a booster pack? Yes I know booster cables will work, but for this I need a booster pack.
  11. I haven't seen that yet but that's just excellent!
  12. Aahh, reading this thread brought me back to the old days when I used to frequent this place all the time. That will be case soon enough, planning on bringing the old girl out of hibernation and being a happy man again!! I had forgotten all this stuff so it was a good refresh. Will need a really good servicing before I can thrash the living daylights out of it.
  13. One of the main reasons people were getting them wrapped is 'cos they couldn't get that colour in the factory choice. Such as Matt Black (which looks good on a GTR), or purple etc etc.
  14. I'll try jump starting it, see how I get on, first protocol. Thanks guys.
  15. In no order - Corrado VR6 - Some form of Pagani - Veyron - McLaren F1 - Porsche 959 - Audi SWB Quattro Sport (the original limited edition version) - Aston Martin Vantage (old school, either late 70's or late 90's, twin supercharged, hhmmmm...) - Ferrari 288 GTO (drool) - The very original BMW M3 LHD - EVO Makinnen/22B/P1 - Shelby GT500 / Eleanor.... There are sooo many though....
  16. That is terrifying, gets worse as you read on!
  17. Since I have had the Corrado off road, I have had it hooked up to a trickle charger, and every few weeks I would start the car up so make sure the juices were flowing etc etc. Recently I tried to start it again, but it wouldn't. I just get a "click-click-click-click" but no cigar. Any ideas anyone? I'm not the most mechanically minded.... I don't even know where the starter motor is :(
  18. I've considered hiding the GTR but right now with stuff happening in my life, it isn't a viable option unfortunately. It would be better to take the hit I'm afraid, however hard its going to be. Now I've changed my mind from a 10k Golf (although I think I've fallen in love with that charged R32 already) & buy a cheaper runaround, more around the 3k mark.
  19. I get an error message with that link?
  20. I got that feeling, but then a friend (who is caucasian - for those of you who haven't figured it out, I am not) said don't play the "race card". So I thought maybe I am jumping the gun a little, don't know. I've had my fun with the car, no saying I'm all out of fun but I have had some fun. And now with all this vandalism (that's 4 separate occasions now) I feel maybe it's time to move on. Don't know, don't know, don't know.
  21. I have told the police, who don't really seem too bothered about it.
