Stupid Question - Should 1991 G60 have a oil cooler in it somewhere or are they after market mods? I think this is a little high for a G60 after reading other comments on forum. Has anybody fitted any type of Oil cooler to a G60 and where can i get one from. Just a bit worried in the heat of the south coast at the moment. Has anybody fitted the one from German Swedish & French?

Make sure when removing the key barrel when swaping from broken handle to new one the key is still in the lock. If you take the key out all of the parts will fall out and you will be buying new barrels and getting vw to make them up for you.

Started getting a knocking, cracking noise when on full lock. Does this sound like CV Joints? Also should you change the outer cv joint as well as the inner at the same time.

Paid about £35 from a stealer for a new indicator stalk. Bound to be more money for a corrado. Easy job stearing wheel off undo connectors, undo and slide off the indicator stalk and then replace. Bearing in mind i am talking about a Golf.

I also had this happen on my golf a few years ago. Turned out to be the indicator lever melting around the contacts where it had worn over the years. question are you getting any strange dash lights i.e. indicator light on or glowing a little?

Has anybody got this annoying problem. Above 60 mph the panels either side of the rear seat vibrate at the top. Should the panels be connected to the bottom point of the window with the same clips as the front windows? Are there any hidden screws in the these panels apart from the ones which can be easily seen.

Lucky i did this pad was just about gone. Managed to release caliper with tool from MDC. Replaced pads and refitted. Checking the wheel for heat everytime i stop to see whether it is binding again. I would not mind a answer to the Mk3 or Mk4 caliper question please anyone! As i dont trust that it will not happen again soon. At least i did not have to borrow my mums bogey green polo.

Help Brakes did not seem as good on friday on the way home from work. Got home and felt the back and front wheels and the near side back was warm. Jacked it up and fround that wheel would only turn if i forced it with my hands. took wheel off and got girlfriend to pull hanbrake on which i could see the cable moving but not the pad. No noticable movement of the pad when pressing the footbrake either. Checking the disk i have not scoured it yet but can cannot be moved till i sort this out. Please help soon as without my C it means i have to borrow my mums bogie green polo! ( hope anybody who knows me see me driving it! Thanks

Having had the C for 3 months and now out of warrenty i throught it was about time that i get the supercharger checked over as none of the history which came with the car showed that it had never been done. Could someone tell me is it best to drive the car to jabbasport or to post it. Big parcel (14ft by 8ft with bubble wrap) Only going to have stage 2 as just want piece of mind that the supercharger will not let go. Cheers

What a sh*t job  . Lots of swearing trying to get the two bolts at gearbox. Took three hours and no more leaks. Found that the best tool to stop the cross threading of the bolts was a bendy extension for the socket set. Thanks for everybody's help. :D Admin Please Close Thread

:? The idiots who made the barrels used 1 boot barrel (ok) and two near side barrels (instead of 1 near, and 1 offside barrel. so i hasd now chance of making the bloody thing fit on the offside (drivers door). Oh well VW place are going to make up a new driver door one for me probably take them two weeks to do that. probelm solved please close thread

When I bought the car 3 months ago there were different keys for the door driver door, passenger door and also a third for ignition. Broken into at some point I thought. Anyway down to the local VW dealership to get ripped off!!!!!!. No £10 for each barrel and £9 for creating each lock to match ignition key. Changed passenger door about 45 minutes no probs. Sorry Now The Problem! Tried to change driver door and found that the insert of the barrel was different. DID VW change the barrel design to make the lock more secure?
