Mate John 16vG60 has just fitted a set of rear mk4 calipers and zimmerman disks to my g60 including the required banjo clips. He did first class job and i would recommend him to anybody requiring the jump from rubbish corrado calipers to Mk 4 Alloy calipers.

G60 Brake, Starter & Knock Replacement - Long Evening
woody replied to woody's topic in Suppliers Forum
Ps Got bloody stopped on the way home on the M27 by a blue BMW (unmarked plodder  ) I think he was wondering why i was doing less than seventy ( could be drunk ) No officer i am bedding in my bloody brakes and just want to get home to bed. Let me go after checking the car was not stolen and roadworthy -
Just like to say thankyou to John 16vG60 for sorting my brakes, starter and knock sensor out Friday night. What John had I hoped a 3 hour job ended up being a 6 (as I believe that the person who owned my G60 before me welded every nut and bolt to try and get rid of rattles) I believe I saw every face John could pull last night while holding spanners in hands Work consisted of: - New rear MK4 Callipers, Zimmerman Disks and Pads ( ended up replacing brake pipe to flexihose on offside back to a unit on near side because of a dodgy connection which could have been very dangerous. (some garages would not have seen it). Recon VAG Starter Motor: which looked bloody new the only bit used again was the casing which started the car like a dream unlike my old tired one which I believe will be used in the annual 'chuck the starter' at goodwood racers for half the price of a stealer. Knock Sensor: Straightforward apart from welded nut and the need to have 15" fingers with sucker grips on the end to get the connector After six hours of work(which I was not charged for all of it) and a 150 mile round trip my Car is back on the road braking much better, easy starting and piece of mind that a professional job had been done on my car.

16vG60 is changing my G60 brakes on friday to Mk4 Alloys as i have suffered from sticky rear calipers (nearly crap myself coming to a stop and smoke coming from back wheel and you connot touch it its so hot) At the end of the day i am having new disks, calipers and pads, new brake lines just to give myself piece of mind about the bloody calipers.

I have been looking around for a induction kit for my 91 G60. I would like a K&N one but according to their website they only make one for a VR6. The nearrest to in design that i have found is the one for a golf G60 part number KN57-0219. Is this the one i will have to use??? Thanks in advance

Do a search on the forum for each of these subjects there will be instructions somewhere:- The resistor pack attached to the side of the blower is the same as MK2 Golf. I got one from a scrappie to fix me blower. Easy to do! Get some wipers and dremmel (spelling) out so that they hug the screen I bought a pair off 8vG60 darren which work great. PM him he might have some more to sell. I repainted mine and they now look new. Also if your rear windscreen washer is not working check that the boot carpaet is not wet. This happened to mine i could hear the motor running but no water was coming out. What had happened was that where the water pipe connects to the rear wiper the platic tube had broken off. This was done under warrenty so no idea how much.

16vG60 fitted a miltek cat back to my G60 last week. Very pleased looks good sounds great and for a stainless steel exhaust did not break the bank. John did a tip top job.

Thanks all for comments fitted new speakers (Alpine) had to cut cables and remake with crimps.

Looks like a cattle prod attached to the steering wheel. Althrough it might worry me that if a farmer who shot and killed an intruder in his house can go to prison what would stop a corrado owner getting banged up for giving some half assed car thief a heart attack. I might phone my insurance company about this product and see what they say?

My 91 G60 how only one bottle feeding both the front and the back wipers washers. Check that the boot carpet is dry!. When I bought a corrado it was the wet, on inspection I found that the rear wiper water connection onto the wiper assembly behind the black panel had broken off. This meant that every time a used the back wiper water was being leaked into the boot area. I had this fixed under warranty :D so I have not actual idea how to replace it but in my case the garage had to buy a complete new back windscreen wiper mechanism :(

Had new exhaust fitted at the weekend it has stopped the knocking when pulling away. So problem fixed as far as annoying rattles. cheers all for comments

Just had john (16vG60) fit a miltek cat back to my G60. Great sound from exhaust in tune with the supercharger. Sounds so much better than the wet fart noise i had coming from my standard box. No real notice of extra power because the cat has not been by-passed but i was running the supercharger in for the first 100 miles or so.

I had a oil cooler fitted by john (16vG60) at weekend. Driving back i had a max oil temp of 104 degrees at 70mph and 98 degrees in traffic as before i drove it to john the oil was 116-120 degrees which worried me. Bottom line get an oil cooler if you want to keep the car!. John charged £135 including all pipework + fitting and has done a tip top job. I feel much happier now and i am no longer keeping the MFA on oil temp all of the time.

Question :- Is my suspension f**ked  . had four people in the car and suspension at rear was making strange scraping noises. As far as i know its the stock setup. When i press down on one of the rear wings what kind of response should the car give if suspension ok. Thanks

Ok what which way to go:- 1. Spray whole same colour as car? 2. Spray just eyebrow?

Why not ring John or darren Formally PD Mororsport. They used do different levels of servicing for corrados . They are both on the forum 8vG60, 16vG60

Help Ok got some new rear alpine speakers for my C. How differcult is it to change them. Had a quick look in the boot and its looks that the wheel arch will make the job a right game. Is it easier to remove the whole panel which the speaker fixes to, and then swap the speakers. PS fitted a new kenwood MP3/CD player in the C, it is great having over 12 albums per CD. I just wish the petrol would last as long as playing one CD.

Thanks all for advice, grill on the way Admin Please Lock Thread

A mechanic mentioned to me that to get the bushes out of the front wishbones he would have to heat the bush to make the rubber flexible.

Need to buy a reiger grille and some badges, bestie (spelling) boys are back. Anybody bought anything from Awersome GTI and have they ever offered any discount to forum members.

Okay here we go: 1. take driver door panel off disconnecting all connecters for windows and mirrors dont forget there may be a screw hidden under the speaker cover. 2. undo electrical connection for door handle (half way up handel end of door) 3. Remove door handle by gently removing rear of handel and sliding forward to remove front part of handle. 4. Put key in lock (if you dont do this your tumbler will fall apart when you remove it) 5. Remove the C clip with small screwdriver ( dont loose it! ) 6. Tumbler can now be removed 7. Put back together and grease everything there you go! :D PS where is this scrap yard where there is a Corrado  7.
