Just had a new Saches (spelling) clutch and Slave Cylinder and uprated front engine mount (from TSR Racing). Also hasd a set of uprated shocks fitted. The C pulls off the line so smoothly now its a different car i am sure and corners like never before. A big thanks goes out to John (16vG60) for the work which once again ruined his weekend. (The car did not want give its gearbox up lots of swearing involved). For the amount of hours spent doing the jobs there should have been more labour than on the bill. Money Well Spent

You can still get the G60 badge from steeler, i enquired last week about one. It was a bit of a game attaching it to my reiger grill but looks so much better than the stock grill. Eyebrow fitting is a bit of a game( headlight drilling) do a search on the forum for fitting instructions. Mine came from awesome GTI

16Vg60 fitted a miltek stainless steel to my g60 and i have not stopped smiling for weeks, right type a noise at low speed, nice howl at higher revs. It complements the sound of the charger great and of course fits the corrado rear nicely. Go for it there really are a good buy for the money that you are paying.

Got them installed, no rubbing windscreen. Just waiting for it rain. Taking it to Littlehampton tonight for 16VG60 to fit new Saches (spelling) clutch and clutch slave cylinder, uprated light loom and fitting of new suspension. One of these days i will get a digi camera and take some pics. My car is now starting to work as it was supposed to when it broke out of the showroom and slapped all of the other vw's round the head. ( Apart from other corrado's not wanting to Annoy anybody on this forum.) Thanks all for the advice

Oh boll**ks should have read the whole thread. Although the steeler said that the numbers listed were still available. oh well try them out before handing over the cash tomorrow.

Looked at the link and spoke to the steeler and they said that the first two part numbers come with blades. Are these thrown away and the third and forth part number items used intead. Has anybody come accross this? P/Ns are. 6x2955409A ... Wiper Arm £16.50 +vat 6x2955410A ... Wiper Arm £16.50 +vat 6x2955425B ... Wiper Blade £8.43 +vat 6x2955425C ... Wiper Blade £8.43 +vat

I had my charger serviced by john (16vG60) and was very pleased with the work carried out on my C. Taking my car back to him this weekend for new clutch, Headlight loom upgrade and fitting of new suspension.

First large downpour of rain and the passenger side wiper stops working. Drivers side still works and when it does the i can see the passenger side twitching about 10mm then dropping back down. It is to dark to see now but i will have a look in the morning. Are both wiper connected together with a bar so that they stroke together?

After 90K my shocks and springs are shot. As with everyother bolt on my they are bound to snap when removing the old suspension to fit the new ones. Can anybody tell me what part numbers the bolts are which hold suspension to axles. Failing that can anybody tell me the sizes of bolts, nuts and washers required to do the job. Thanks in advance :-

I had a griding noise from the alternator. took out the alternator and found that when turned by hand you could hear the bearings grinding. (90K on car) It was a bit of a releif as i was starting to worry that it was cambelt problems ( changed 20K ago ) Got brand new alternator, pulley and fan from steeler and tried to fit it back onto the car last night in the dark. Thankyou very much to john (16VG60) for the couple of answered questions and advice on how to get spring jobbie back onto the alternator as it been bl**dy cold in the morning at 06:30 on my bike last couple of days.

Recently me mum bought a new polo from the steeler. I dropped her down there and while talking to the to saleman i asked about cambelt changes recommended milage etc, He said that VW used to recommend every 60,000 but this has now dropped to a recommendation of every 50,000. does this mean that recently they have had cambelts go before the 60,000 mile mark. Moral of the story get that cambelt changed if no proof that is has been done.

I have had the wishbones changed recenlty on my G60. Wishbones cost £37 each from steeler and because i have had bolts snap on the car before bought every bolt which might have been required. As it was three of the bolts did snap so i was glad i did buy them. About two hours to change a starter on a G60 providing that bolts dont shear, but because they are quite long they do every know and again. m8 this garage sounds well dodgy if they cant source HT leads, have they ever seen a Corrado before?

16vG60 fitted zimmerman drilled disks to my C a couple of weeks ago and at the same time fitted MV14 calipers much better braking and also no stuck calipers anymore as they are alloy.

16Vg60 fitted a Mocal oil cooler for me at the same time as servicing my supercharger. Cracking job and now the car sit at 102 oC on a long run. John did a very tidy and professional job on both parts. I believe that the cooler costy £130 ish and about 2.5 - 3 hours labour.

I was thinking about buying a bilsteins kit for my G60 how easier job was it and what tools were required. i.e did you invest in a suspension spring compresser
-
Fixed the blower with the help of RA16C 184 oC resistor from maplins in bournemouth. Cheers all for advice.
-
Much better sound because the old ones one of them had a blown cone with made a awful sound when turned up any where near loud. I can now also enjoy my Kenwood car MP3 player and my whole 150 cd collection within the car on only 12 cd's

I have been told that you MUST NOT EVER bump start a G60 or any car which has a CAT as this will cause fuel to fill up the honeycomb within the cat which will catch fire and at the very least wreck the cat and maybe more...
-
Ok blower only working on 4. Does this mean that thermal resistor has blown time to ring Maplins. Also do any other VW use the same kind of resistor / blower setup Golf! (3 speed only) Passat?????

I had a leak from the very same pipe in march when i collected the car from the garage, wait for it...................... after they had just MOT and serviced it. Yeah right! bet they did not even know where the bonnet release lever was.

i tried that i am scared i will split the panel. Do i need to take out the rear seats?
-
How do you remove the rear panels in a 91 G60. Mine are rattleling and generally pi**ing me off. This is what i did so far 1. removed screw from front of panel near sill of car 2. removed plastic seat blet holder 3. removed screw from just below seat belt holder 4. removed two plastic screws from hidden by seat until folded down. And the bloody thing still wont move  . Please, please, please WTF am i missing. Cheers in advance
