When I had this Car had a brand new alternator from VW on it in about 2006, but from your PM you stated that you beleive that the altenator had been changed for some reason, Check all of the cables are secure on the alternator and battery. Also it had a new starter fitted when I had the car as the old one starting to not want to disengage. Cheers Woody

Yes that is my car. The orignal bumber which is shown in the "Woody's project nosejob" thread had the RS4 bumber as at that time the RS2 was differcult to get hold of 8 week lead time where the rs4 was a week. I knackered that bumper and then waited for a RS2 which was then swapped over. I would be intrested what it is now running as when I had it remapped and it came out at 212 BHP is was at ray west tuning, be intrested to see why another remap was undertaken ( more modification ). I wish I had kept now :(

I did this a couple of week ago. I had a spare lining so I stripped it and then covered it with black foam backed headlining material from ebay. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWAX:IT scroll down to the main part of the page so see what I used To stick it I used some high temperature adhesive such as Fast Fix 120 degree spray adhesive which the same person on ebay (ASTrim) seels within his ebay shop I then used a stanley knife to cut out the basic shape of the lining leaving enough material over the edges to allow them all to be folded over except the two smaller pieces of the sunroof which I used a glue gun glue to stop the material coming free as the sunroof was used. I then decided that my lighting surround then let the roof of the car down so stripped that down and did it as well. I even had enough material to do my second head lining once out of the car Swapped the lining out of my car with the recovered one and started the whole process again. The lining is on ebay finishing next week (plug!!! within ebay section of the forum) I am really happy with the results

Hi Does anyone know where i might be able to purchase a Corrado VR6 Raceland Exhaust Manifold? Thanks Woody
-
whats that interior out of????
-
Where can you buy the stuff to retrim the headlining does anybody who has done this then suffered with catching of the new sunroof panel trim on the roof when opening the sunroof Cheers Woody

I would be intrested to know that they fit ok as well as I would like to fit a drivers side one to my VR6 after removing the Carbon canister the other night for the pipe into the air duct. One question the grill on the left hand side of the standard bumper is closed off, do I require one from a early car??
-
I have just gone down this route. Join the "MKiv forum" I picked up a brand new set of calipers / carriers & pad including some second hand disks for £190 posted. Also garage which I take my car to is making some 6mm spacer between the carrier and hub so that I do not have to go washer route. I would recommend this as I had these brakes on my V6 4motion. By far the cheapest way to get better brakes without spacing your wheels nearer the arches

No noise at idle in the engine bay!!!!
-
Driving my VR6 to work this morning I heard a some kind of air leak. As I changed up gear , dipped the clutch the hissing noise went away but as soon as I let the clutch go back in it came back again. Any Ideas anyone of where to look thanks Woody

Was with HIC for about £350 last year. Renewal came in and they wanted £560. Could not really justify that so did a comaprethemarket .com and the cheapest by far was the post office, but when I rang them up they were very "we will have to talk to the underwriters" Anyway phoned up HIC to try and get the quote down a bit and they managed to get it down to £399. Please remember that although I am 41(old Git) in Aug 08 my V6 4 motion was stolen which as it was never recovered goes down on my insurance form as my fault!!!!!!. Anyway phoned up Chris Nott who I have gone with for Wait for it!!!!!!!! £299 Cracking deal, very happy I am, Very helpful people, phoned me back to save my mobile phone bill. Cheers Woody

TSR do them. I was going to get one as part of the top of the engine replacement next winter with the rebuilt head http://www.tsr-performance.com/pages/heads6c.asp

I beleive that the early style lights sit a bit further back towards the windscreen, and the later ones were flush with the grill. Whats wrong with your inpro. I beleive all inpro's are set when they leave the factory to be left hand drive, but they cab be changed to right hand drive with a screwdriver ( I have had to do this for the three sets tahat I have had in two different Corrados). Do you really want to go back to having a couple of candles to see by Cheers Woody
-
Fixed Them!!!!! Modified the wiring inside as in the standard Inpro's have the live going into one anel eye and linked to the other and then the earth go to other angel eye with the headlight. Found a company that sells BMW CE marked TUV approved angel eye kits in the correct size 85mm inside and 95mm outside. Took me about 4 hours over two evenings including testing them on the car while they were in peices to see whether the wiring was ok. I will try to put one light in the car and take a pic so that the brightness can be compared to the original's
-
ty VR6 I had two windows opened when I posted Woody

Anyone had any problems with their Angel eyes parts of their Inpro lights. Three out of the four of my spare set are not working. Is it possible to change the Bulb? Led? underneaath the Silver coloured part of the angel eye. Cheers Woody

When it fails to start the engine turns over with the starter going but will not fire.
-
X releif relay has been changed and the car has started for a few weeks fine. Today wont start again same problem. Will the Iginition switch problem fail all of the the time or can it then work ok the next day when they are failing. Any Ideas anyone Cheers Woody

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0103749138 The advert does however seem to gloss over the fact that there is green plastic displacing the existing light in the top of the cluster. So if the existing bulbs were changed to the new ones in the advert and the plastic removed you would end up with hot spot of light. Anyway anyone tried these? Cheers Woody

I tried to fit the seal while the panel was in the car on the g60. Had exactly you problem some sides were nice and flush while others looked awful. Remove the panel only abour four screws (i seem to remember)
