Should the dashboard read the same temp when you swap over the blue and black temp senders? Mine dont they both meter ok, resistance goes up and down, just different resistances? Cheers Ryan

Well yea if the slave cylinder is working, then there aint a lot wrong with the master, but what I mean is how can you tell the hydraulics are working if it dont disengage the clutch? Actually I suppose you would be able to feel the resistance of the clutch spring on the pedal  But the way I read it was your pedal just goes to the floor with no resistance, which would indicate a hydraulic problem. Buy a new one from VAG if it makes you feel better, yes g60s are heavy on fuel :?
-
Hmmm :?

If it isnt the slave cylinder, then its more likely to be the master than the clutch itself, if fact I dont see how it could be the clutch itself :? Nasty job to be diving into

Yup pigeon sh1t melted my paint too, lets see how they like .22 slugs

Hehe I like that, a bit lively, sure you'd have some fun with falkens on the backs and even a half decent tyre on the fronts, but I'm sure a PTFE tyre would grip better than falkens, even if it were made in taiwan. My falkens with 5mm tred are going in the bin when I can be bothered to get them changed ;)

Its the carbon canister control valve, dont think mine clicks, but even so I doubt its much to worry about

Cats are expensive tho, a milltek decat pipe is £55 iirc, which is also a silencer.

Adjusting the co pot wont change your power output, because correct me if I'm wrong but, its only the idle mixture, when you put your foot down it isnt read.

Nooo, it smells nice! Works better than the cheaper crap I got from wilcos too
-
Yup I'll take it stevemac, you have PM

Contemplating porting my charger, has anyone done this, or anyone got any tips? I'm gathering its a bad idea to chop off 3 of the exhaust prongs, since all the ported chargers I've seen have 6  Any links or tips appreciated! Ryan

Thanks for the replies, it seems to be the runner the chrome rocker slides on is worn, and the pin is sitting too high up, worked better when I bent it down a bit, then it snapped when I bent it down some more

Hi, okay I finally got round to replacing the broken cable guides on my sunroof, and the pos still dont work right  It tilts up and down great, slides back fine, but when it comes to sliding back forward, one side tries to tilt up, and I cant really see why :? Any ideas? Cheers Ryan

My '92 has a 3 wire motor

Yep he's right just like mine did, even had the parts for a rebuild on the way, then bang  I think the top eccentric idler bearing jobbie ceased up, smashed the lot to pieces  Now you have 6 million pieces of oil gunged aluminium stuck in the intercooler and boost pipes to clean out, and a £700 recon charger bill, when its prolly still servicible atm :(

Hi, I've recently put 68mm pulley, red tops and sns s5 chip in my g60, it seems to be running ok but maybe not quite right, and the spark plugs are black with carbon, tho when I meter the lambda probe I can see it cycling at idle somwhere around 0.1-0.7v, and its pretty much bang on 0.7v while driving with foot down, and it never goes above 0.7v while driving. CO pot is set 500ohms, timing is just under 6 degress probably, to stop it pinking, BTS meters ok, engine grounds seem ok. Any ideas, anything else I should be checking? Oh the plugs are w6dpo BTW Cheers Ryan

Not a problem if you could do it yourself, but omfg 4 grand  thats shocking, who'd spend 4 grand a 20VT conversion?
-
Sure you dont just need a new battery?

Hi all, as the subject says, theres an almighty crunch into 3rd @ redline, obviously its not too healthy, and I'd never thrash my C, but whats going on? I mean I didn't think 3rd even had synchromesh? Of course its a big enough job getting the gearbox off, which I would do myself, but what sort of job is fixing 3rd gear, I don't know, I mean I cant see as getting a gearbox from the scrappie is much good, cuz u dont know what ur getting and you're prolly back where u started. So whats my best plan of action?(plz dont say change gear earlier :))

My god the standard full beam on my corrado has just under 9v @ the main bulbs, with the engine running (~13.2v @ battery) Did this mod with 2x 30a relays using 2.5mm2 wire and also wired the ground back to the battery with 2.5mm2, as the standard loom had 0.5v drop on full beam on the ground. Now I have just 0.5v drop on full and 0.25v on dipped, and seriously the lights look twice as bright, but more importantly I can see where im going :)
