I would say it isnt the blub itself, since its an LED and they last for yonks, maybe a bad connection, or indeed it could be the LED too!

Yeah the serpentine belt, be in trouble if the internal on slipped :?

Yeah I have a smaller belt, tensioner is ok too, even tried packing the spring down a bit, didnt seem to make a lot of difference :|

Yeah having said that, you can hear the belt slip at about 4.7k, but looking on the mfa I think the boost did drop off a bit around 5-5.5k so thats prolly what it is.

Cheers 8) I think the dip around 5.5k is where the supercharger belt starts slipping :|

I think you'll find the earth wire on the head is to earth the head :wink: in which case best to leave 'em how they are!

Spec: l&s cartec rsr charger(not great I think), 68mm pulley, red tops, schrick 268/276, sns s5 chip(could do with mapping i think), golf fmic, k&n panel filter, milltek. Think the plugs and lead are past there best, but dunno if this would cause the dip? Would have put the 65mm pulley on if I was planning on getting a power run done, but I only went to get wheel alignment done, couldnt resist the dyno :) steering is soo much smoother now and it goes in a str8 line :-P

I thought that too, but then 0-50 is gonna be quicker with the g60 gears, then the vr gears need another gear change after 60, prolly doesnt make a lot of difference 0-80 with the vr gears :)

Yeah, but the only reason to change the 1st and 2nd gear is to get a better 0-60 time, it aint gonna make the car quicker 0-80, if fact it may even be slower.

Yep and yep, its a http://www.race-technology.com/Site1_UK/acatalog/Performance_Meters.html and I believe it :-P nah but seriously maybe it is a little optimistic, but I'd lay money on it doing 0-60 in under 7s even with the crap on the front wheels atm. I'll try it with the suspension setting on soft so its got to give a slower than real time!

You put 1 probe on the positive battery terminal, and the other on the bulb positive terminal, but that will only give you the volt drop in the positive wire, there will also be volt drop in the negative! So simply measur the voltage at the bulb and subtract it from the voltage at the battery! :) EDIT: as you say 8)

Yer lol, did look a slidey corner, think he must have had some dodgy front tyres, its always the back that slides on mine, or he was just braking too hard :? Funny when he get out and goes "scheiss" tho :-P

I really doubt its the belt causing problems, I mean how hard is it to get the tensioner on? My tensioner only needs compressing about 15mm to get it on, still quite hard to get on but... you can hear the belt slipping at over 5k on a 68mm pulley, also tried spacing the tensioner off to give more compression, made no difference!

yea i thought they top out at 55 in second,my valver does about 61 in second... but stil a very good time though!!! Thats right, you need 3rd gear in a g60, just have to change uber quick :)
