That's a huge quote. Exhaust section is only £200ish from GSF I think. Or you cpould get an SS like I did for £350ish fitted from someone like Miltek or Longlife. My Longlife is guaranteed for life as well. Middle exhaust suitcase box is after the CAT, same place mine was blowing, that bit just rusts away...

There were also those stats that kev posted up when Evo tested a MK5 GTI on different fuels and the results were amazing, +10% BHP in certain cases IIRC. I think BP Ultimate came out top.

But surely there must be some kind of trading standards as to what the pump is putting out..?
-
Looks really good :), I would get it lowered a little though. I wonder how I can afford a retrim this year...

5 Spokes (in general) suit the C best IMO. 6 Spokes still look good though. :)

Dunno about anyone else but after seeing Furk'z UD pics i'm fully taking his advice! Shopping List... Meguiars NXT shampoo Meguiars Step 3 ;) ..and it's cheap.

:) Alright, thanks crdo16v, I might check 'em out.

I have to agree with everything Phat just said. Although I haven't seen the rims in the flesh yet so can't really comment. :) -
Very nice indeed, what's next then - interior overhaul?
-
Yep i'm looking for something like this for a few very minor pits. Anyone know of/reccommend anywhere in Cornwall or Devon?

Oak Green is tres cool :) - Infact that goes for all green. ;)

Could have done a search on this one as it's been covered a lot. Pull out the plastic centre bit on the grab handle and undo the screws. Undo all the other screws and pull it off. IIRC there are about 3 on the bottom, 1 up the front side, 1 inside the speaker grill and a couple on the back of the door that you'll see when it's open. You have to take the lock pin off as well I thnk. If it doesn't come off it means you've missed a screw!

I reckon you slapped a load of black gloss paint on the car just before that picture was taken!

Mine used to vibrate because it was loose but not badly and certainly not enough to vibrate the dash.

Will do Tim. Aren't you getting a respray cheap somewhere? Maybe they do dent removal as well? Thanks Andy, progression is slow but good IMO. I'm going to spend the next year concentration on sorting the car out properly before adding any more power into the equation. New brakes all round are a must and probably next on the list. So has anyone got any ideas about how I can get rid of the plastic cover all together and locate the HT leads somewhere whilst keeping it all tidy..? As I understand it they can go under the inlet manifold...
-
Yeah I know, just used to tiny Corrado wheels! Looks good.
-
Those wheels look hooaaauuuugggee! :)

I fear the car isn't quite as good as the pictures make it look! It does have a few very small blemishes and the odd bit of scuffed paintwork. Need to find someone to take the little dents out methinks. The speedlines are probably the best bit TBH they are pretty much flawless. I certainly wouldn't sell them if I got new wheels. If I can't get the Vento Challenge Cup Speedlines I will just stick with standard Speedlines and get the 288mm brakes I think.

Here are a couple of pictures of my OBD2 inlet manifold. Have been polishing it for just over a week, I estimate it's taken about 6 hours so far. I'm not going for a perfect 'A20LEE' finish, just want to clean it up & as it was sitting round thought i'd give it a go - it doesn't cost anything after all! I also have no intention of turning it into a show car! Dunno about all the plastic going back on, not sure how to get around this with respect to the leads... I have been using a detail sander with 60 grit paper & A drill with some abrasive attachments. Also used a bit of wire wool and some Autosol polish stuff. You can see the left hand inlet is pretty much done as is the back of the manifold near the TB. Close up shows that the finish isn't great but it is more than good enough for me.

Both those TSW's are RC look-a-likes. Don't like those Toorat ones at all.

Early silver valver (I think) going over the bridge into Wadebridge today @ 1pm. Got a thumb back. :)

stingman123, Some cars on the forum have done over 200k with original chains. They are supposed to last the lifetime of the vehicle.

Try changing the fuel filter first mate (if you haven't already), pump may be struggling to send the juice through all the crap in the filter. Wiki Article Here.

No you can't add extra features to that one. I have a feeling that remote start invalidates the CAT1 and therefor your insurance though.

Poor C looks abused! :)
