Trig replied to CorradoVR6-Turbo's topic in Members Gallery
Looking good mate, very similar to my colour looks more blue if anything. Interior gives me a good idea of what mine will look like when done, which at the moment will be ivory with green piping.. :) -
So less than £50 rather than £5 ! 535 943 127 I think.
-
He's looking for a cheap valver I think.

Corrado Spotting! Was it you? [Archive January 06]
Trig replied to bristolbaron's topic in General Car Chat
Saw a debadged & colourcoded grilled pearlescent green C driving toward wadebridge on the A39 thursday afternoon. -
Yes if you have the lead removal tool, available here on GB. Then it's just a socket to unscrew them. Don't try to pull the leads off without the tool as you can mess it up.

Halfrauds.. they do a selection pack. I think its about 20mm. -
Phil is selling an early N/S one on eBay
-
VAG - I think they are about £30 each, or put a wanted ad up and check to see if anyone is breaking a car. There is a difference between early & late ones I think.

Nice one mate, have you thought of colour coding the rear no. plate surround? Liking the interior, what colour is that? -
Oh.. Did a search on the fourm and they didn't come up so I assumed they were unchartered territory. Part of the attraction was that I thought they hadn't been done before. Still like them though. :)
-
Better your car looks like Kitt than you look like 'The Hoff'. :)
-
Jobs-a-goddun'. Close to you as well, get down there & drive it!
-
matthewb1985, thanks mate! Look very nice IMO.. I want them now.
-
Yep, all true. If you want to race in cornwall it'll be some sort of country lane chase, which can get dangerous... still fun though!
-
Well I certainly wouldn't sell the speedlines, 'cos they are cool. If I did buy new ones i'd get 16's they seem to be the best compromise. :? :? Any recommendations?

Golf PD150 sounds good to me. I reckon it may be a bit of a shock going from the interior & build of an S3 to that of a lightened Clio... and i'm not anti everything but VAG, just think you should have better! Type R... heard bad things, pretty quick though. :)
-
LOL - Oh I dunno... Not in a position to buy right now anyway so I guess I can put some thought into it while I wait.
-
Yeh Phat that's kind of the idea! Saw the pics of his new speedlines and loved them, so I want to stick with 5 spokes myself and these looked nice. And they're cheaper than the RC's which I was thinking about...
-
Speaking as a bit of a wheel novice, these look pretty damn nice to me. Is Mille Miglia a good wheel manufacturer has anyone ever put these wheels on a C (search came up with nada)? They are in the list of Corrado VR6 wheels on http://www.performancealloys.com . I want a simple 5 spoke wheel and I would imagine these would look good (photoshop anyone?).. Do you think they would look crap?
-
Or... do it yourself! Not an easy job by the looks of it though! :)
-
Totally agree, can't actually recall having a single race in my VR. Not many cars around here worth racing, few more in the summer but they aren't the racing type. I've seen boy racers in town at night though with there super loud exhausts and they do seem to have respect for the C, it is good that they understand the superiority. ;)

LOL - I think it is a question intended to open the conversation...

This seems to come up once every month or two! Last report is that its going to be called a Scirocco..
-
It's no Corrado! Or S3. :)
