Think I have a serious problem with my exhaust. Drove it to a mates yesterday and on the return started up the engine only to find some serious reverbiration and a massive loss in performance (94 VR6). Obviously this is deeply upsetting. Looked under my car and the large box that sits halfway along the car (sorry don't know what its called) has bits flaking away from it and the exhaust is giving off a rather horrible smell and seems to be wiggling more than usual. It now feels like i'm driving a 1.1 fiesta with the shakes... Does anybody know how much this is going to cost me? I'm thinking a lot. The only money I did have is paying for an alarm to be fitted thismorning! Pictures...

Just paid 99.9p for supreme at my local... There is massive work going on at the tesco opposite though, fingers crossed its a petrol station.

Mine is on 126k, no noises but I want to get this job done ASAP (even though I don't really have the money!) anyone know anywhere in the south west that can do this job well (and preferably cheap! - yeh right)??
-
That doesn't sound like many... but I don't have a clue. Makes my car seem a lot more rare!

Am I right in thinking that only 9000 were shipped to the uk? Anyone know how many are still registered etc.?

Need to top up my engine oil (94 VR6, 125k) but I don't know what grade of oil is already in there. I want to use Castrol GTX magnatec 15w 40 (did a search), is it ok to use this not knowing what oil is already in there? ...or I need to do a complete oil change bearing in mind it was only serviced 10 weeks ago? A bit of a newbie question, I know.

I noticed that mine is scratched so i only use the tilt function now, bit annoying but better than chewing chunks out of my car...

Pulled up in my green VR6 behind a black 16v (H903 EHD) on my usual work trip home from polzeath to wadebridge. Flashed my lights didn't get a signal back...? The dude infront of him must have realised that 2 corrado's together is a special occasion and so pulled over (thanks) so we could have a play! Anyway he turned off a mile later into 'park dean' campsite... still not very friendly, i was lovin it.

I have this problem at the moment as well. I release the handbrake and after driving few miles the light comes back on but dimmed (probably not wiring then?). Brake fluid is half between max and min

Just ordered one of the cases. Wish i didn't have to use an fm transmitter but most other options are too expensive...

What is the actual case that is holding your ipod? have been looking for a solution like this for ages...

I have this conlog alarm on 94 VR6 but the fob doesn't work. Every time I want to start the car i have to manualy overide the imobiliser by sliding the fob in and out of the slot under the glovebox. The lights on the dash (red & yellow) seem to work and when I press the button on the fob the red light on it lights up but it doesn't seem to do anything. Does anyone have a manual or know how to reset one of these things? its getting a bit annoying having to lean over the poassenger every time I want to start the car!

My mate did exactly the same as this in his Corrado. Drove into the back of a discovery and the tow bar wreaked havoc. Didn't damage the bonnet but it smashed the bumper, couple of fog lights, number plate, grill. Gutted. The driver of the driscovery apparently put on the breaks suddenly cos he wanted to have a look at the view (cornish countryside).

ahh, thats a real pain in the arse (you were all thinking it) watch your wording as well, cos for a second there it sounded like the blood clot was on your driveway taunting you! get beter soon!

hmmm... I used to have a 2CV, bet none of your cars are slower than that little puppy. My Jetta was pretty damn slow as well...
-
I've gone from a £250 1.3 Jetta to a £4000 2.9 VR6
-
I've never had that hapen to me, but i do think its quite funny.
-
So True... And I have never done half of these with any car other than a Corrado.
-
I wouldn't eat it for lunch either.
-
Well i've got a headache after trying to use that stupid menu, its ok if you keep slowly blinking.
-
Blair... has your car really only done 11000?? or is that 110000?!
-
125500.. which seems to be about average. I am jealous of all you sub 60000 though.

For anyone who has the same problem it did tun out to be the bearing, at very low speed sit sounded like a scratching. Anyway, all sorted now.
