Ahh thanks Nick. I agree Matt, no point in messing with a black car. I think I will do mine though, if I paint them they could look very crap a year down the line! I do know Kev has painted his however and they are apparently still fine...
-
Hmm, i'm thinking of doing this, or spraying them the same colour. Kinda edging towards complete removal cos it does look sleaker...

(No Pics) But seen a few around and i'm liking the look of the new Passat, very smart.

My God. That is over £200 a month! Fair play mate, you love the Rado. :D
-
I think its like the people that leave the protective plastic thing on their mobile screen for months until its brown and dog ear'd and looks much more stupid than a scatched screen! ;) just my opinion...
-
Dude, sorry to see this, I loved the look of that car (before crash) and secretly always wanted it. Glad you are OK. :)
-
Aye, thats what I keep telling myself

You won't be able to get to the screws on the back or the bottom of the door.. and probably not the one on the front either! ..which leaves the one by the speaker and the ones inside the handle, I can't see you being able to get access to your door inards without either a rip or a slash. Sorry. :|

I'm getting stealth to do this for me, i'm all up for doing stuff myself but I don't like messing around with springs n stuff. Looking like its going to cost a fair bit so it's lucky they have their seasonal discounts atm!

I tried a lot of companies when renewing my insurance this year - Direct Line was cheapest, Elephant/Admiral came 2nd. Try Direct Line.

Ut Oh, I can see a stanley knife tearing into your door card in the near future... ouch!

That inside pic looks like it could be taken straight out of the brochure!

The bit under the spoiler and above the numberplate (as Tempest said) is the only nit of rust on my VR, you only see it when you open the boot though thankfuly. :)

Spoke to Vince and all booked up! Oh and thats the wrong number Kev, should be: 01926 812259

Ohhh baby, this couldn't of come at a better time. I am taking the plunge and driving all the way (from cornwall) to stealth to get new suspension setup & bushes - and sort out some other problems.
-
Yep, I fully hate you, and your garage. :D
-
Sounds like a handy way of making you remember to turn your lights off! - I'm no help either..

Great link, very useful.

They UGLY... Make sure I close my eyes if I come across them!

It's so hard to say what Corrados are worth at the mo becaused they don't seem to be selling. It is a low mileage example which is definately in its favours, I would agree with vr6storm's valuation but I don't think that it would sell very easily for that much...

Not on here:- http://www.mytyres.co.uk/start.html :)

I plan on getting new wheels eventualy, still on standard (refurbed) speedies. When I do upgrade i'm going to get 16s, i've never tried 17's but from what I have read on the forum 16's seem like a good compromise... and they're cheaper! Oh and i'm thinking about BBS RX's :D
-
I dunno, I see corrados quite a lot round here. One every week or two I reckon, there are 2 or 3 in my town alone.

Thanks for the comments guys. Yeh...chains. The pic on the axle stands was taken just before I bought the car, part of the deal was that the wheels were taken off and refurbed, I turned up to the garage that day hoping for another test drive and was greeted buy that wonderful sight! Did the colour coding myself, all halfords stuff:- primer, paint + lacquer. Did it all from guides + discussions on this very forum! It is widely regarded that getting the numberplate surround off in one peice is nearly impossible but I managed it after a very patient hour! Headlight loom: Added to to-do list! :) GIXXERUK, Thunderbird 2 was always my favourite even though the other boys said it was too big...
