LONGLIFE Quick efficient service, Lovely looking & sounding exhaust, tuned and made especialy for me. PLYMOUTH branch, manager a bit patronising, staff extremely friendly and welcoming, very helpful especialy in aftersales. I did have to take the car back here but they discovered that the problem that I had was infact not related to the new exhaust. Cat--->Back inc. £50 limited edt. tailpipe = £385

**UPDATE** Took the car back to longlife today, they noticed the engine was missing, new spark plug fitted and problem sorted! Hands up to longlife - I reccomend them!

I was thinking about mudflaps t'other day, saw a nice car wiht some on (can't remember what it was). I think the corrado would look good with them on..

Definately driving it the same. Cat is still the original one & the new exhaust is a bigger bore. I'll give it a few days then ring em up and see if they have any ideas. I don't really have a problem with the popping its fore the mpg thats upset me as well as the (i think) slight drop in power. Thanks for the input guys!

Hmmm... I thought i would be getting BETTER torque and fuel efficiency with this new exhaust. I can see what you mean about tuning it to the car but surely this can't be right?! Why would anyone buy a performance exhaust and replace their standard one if its a better exhaust??

My original exhaust on my VR6 was knackered causing low MPG lots of juddering and massive loss of power, got a new one fitted from Longlife in Plymouth today... A. Its popping on gear changes at low speed (at least only noticeable then) - never did this when my old exhaust was working ok, dont mind it but surely that'ts wasted fuel. B. There seems to be less torque at low revs and I used to be able to cruise around at 25mph in 4th now it acts like its going to stall. C. Lower MPG, On old exhaust used to average 29MPG now i'm on about 24MPG... this is supposed to improve with a new exhaust isn't it?? D. No noticeable gain in power, if anything i've lost power. The car is greatly improved over the "knackered old exhaust" ride but i'm sure not as good as it was before the old one went out the window. Does this sound like an exhaust problem or is it just coincidence and actualy something completely different i.e. plugs. ??? Do I need to be taking a trip back to plymouth tomorrow to get this sorted?!!? cheers then.

Away for a week. Think i will leave it just immobilised. When i get back i'll turn off silent and see if there is still a problem.

Just got one of these installed yesterday, everything was fine until late last night........ Sitting infront of the TV at about 12pm and I hear a beep (loud) from the car, ignored it but then there was another one 5mins later, this carried on for an hour or so but the beep times were random - anywhere between 3 and 15 minutes. By 2pm after disarming and arming the car a few times i'm getting pretty pissed off (as are my neighbours probably) so I just went to bed. Woken up a few times throughout the night all the way through to morning (when it seemed to stop :x ). Phoned up the alarm fitters and they seemed to think it had something to do with a dodgy neutral connection on my battery (which is true) and the alarm rearming itself all frickin night. So i've done my best to sort out the connection and changed the alarm to silent (dis)arm - all is well so far. Only problem is that because its on silent now it could be arming itself every 10 minutes and I won't even know about it! The best bit is that i'm going on holliday later today so god knows what will happen while i'm gone...

Turns out the suitcase bit is blowing, the cat is fine. ATS quoted me £300 for the lot so I phoned longlife, they quoted me £359 but I feel i'll be getting a much better system + it has lifetime garuantee. So i've booked up with longlife, the guy asked me if I heard of them from a forum, he said they do a lot of corrados, wheras the guy at ATS kept calling it a G60..

There is a longlife in plymouth or a magnex in totnes but that is over an hours drive and the way she's going at the moment i'm not to happy about taking her that far...

Thanks for quick responses guys, didn' think it would be cheap. going on holliday tomorrow so will have to wait till i get back to have it sorted. Would like to go for stainless steely sporty stuff but in deepest darkest cornwall there aren't many garages that do them!
