  6. best from fly. does you light do rpm or degrees. If its rpm, set that then turn dizzy till the sharp notch its in the middle of the bell housing hole. If its degrees set to your desired timing (6dbtdc???) the point at the rounded noch on the fly and get central as above. for a light with degrees you can also use the tdc mark on the crank but be carefull that it lines up with the fly. The centre of the hole lights up with a mark at the mid point. Make sure you follow the correct procedure when timing like disconnecting the blue temp sender etc. IM NOT SURE OF IT, please check what to disconnect etc :-) :-)
  7. out of interest are a new set of stock lifters good for new/bigger cam?
  8. normally just make sure that you put everything back in the place it came from, i.e cam guide caps etc...... as for new stuff new cam cover gasket, cam belt /tensioner should do. well far as i can think :-) edit: not sure if this link still works but it was really good guide when it did: http://www.clubgti.co.uk/forum/forum_po ... 26914&PN=1
  9. has the cam belt been changed recent?
  10. Well i have just seen the doctor about my merc crash (in may this year). he said that he can still detect the symptoms of the crash very slightly in my back. I do still get pains, but getting better the more i gym/swim. Its just scary that you can still be affected so long after! To all you crazys that had 'real' crashes, wow! and keep the pics coming. Oh and my number plat was a20 luc
  11. My rocco storm! was mint then: hit the narrow end of a wall head on at about 50 (at least). I have many more but no pics. For example was in a dodge (sp?) ram 5.9L and we got t boned by a little nissan, flames and nissan everywhere!!!! truck was all right after new axel and wheel! Edit: the merc in the background was my baby, a 2.2 220 ce. then some old guy decided to turn right in to me with his fiesta and wrote it off, the fiesta looked like it had been hit by a tyruck, glass shattered, crumpled the works. the merc was a cat C with over 7k damage (only got 5 and a bit back )
  12. like the trick with the lights!!!
  13. looks like that rocco needs some tlc lol. really nice storm supprised its still around. guess that xmas is not a fantastic corrado selling time free bump :-)
  14. you can take an under tray off or the glove box insert out to allow better access to the wires. need to be positioned to the side or something
  15. im fairly sure that mk2 struts fit the corrado. you will need to check spring rates.
  16. im sure i read that you need the new diles and the correct selector wires/cables. as to how it fits in the dash im not sure.
  17. You mean in the big ish hole that has a green screw cap on it? If so that means that you have lubricated the clutch!! (not good) may be able to burn it off but quite often the clutch gets impregnated with the oil etc and can not be saved.
  18. yeah needs 2 weeks to set/breathe etc...Will mbe worth waiting and seeing how it comes out. may be a really nice colour when rubbered and polished
  19. TBH the bumper looks like the right colour for tornado red
  20. likely feedback from the alternator, I would check all your earths, not sure what any bang after mute is about. Which cd player you got. Also you can by a damper to put in the power supply to stop feed back if needs be.
  21. I have always used red primer with red. My flash red raddo seems to be white primed, from the odd stone chip etc. I cant find any big pics of your car but from the tiny ones it looks nice
