  1. :D  Sorted my interference problem, run the power wire under the amps so they cross the RCA's at 90°. Arrhh silence, until the volume goes up. Its LOUD  , now to get that 800rms sub up and running, come on!
  2. Cheers Ben, i'm really pleased with it. Its still developing, rushed it a bit to make Elsecar so not quite there yet. Tried the front components/amp and its amazing how much more detail i could here on my favourite CD's.

    RIMS WHAT FITS?

You won't be able to run a 40mm offset with coilovers in my experience. Suspension setup is key if your going to push things.

    Midbass....

Completely dynamatt the doors, that will give you a big improvement. Maybe later consider audioscape pods and a 6 or 6.5 midbass.
  5. I thought i'd finished, but i'm really getting into this stereo lark. Got an Alpine KCE-104V on order which opens up all kinds of possiblities. Wouldn't mind a DVD player, NAV, DAB....... Need more room..
  6. Let you know next weekend  Ordered 30mm spacers just incase,
  7. got mine this morning, courtesy of doublezero  Got the Pagid pads. Hopefully overhaul the whole brake system (2 time in 2years  ) next weekend once my spacers arrive. Some VR front calipers with 6k miles on them will be up for grabs.
  8. No problem, my ears are ringing btw..
  9. Cheers. Thing about showing cars is, judges are looking for faults so you need to make sure theres no dodgy bits. You can watch a judge at certain shows to see there favourite checks are and just work on those areas for that show  :-P Silly as it sounds the best modified V-Dub in the world can lose to a nearly std car on something as silly as faded plastic caps on the seatbelt retaining bolts. Its bonkers really,
  10. The sub is an audiobahn 1500Q. Don't know how it sounds yet as i haven't powered it up yet. Should have plenty of muscle at 800rms in a 4cu ft box. Amps are Rockford Fosgate. Chose equipment which was chromed with red illumination and decent sound/power. Been working on the front end of the system this morning. To my ears it sounds awesome, loads of power there. The 3 way component system is getting 250rms.

    Rear lights....

Think they could work tinted red. But is £150 gamble and i'm a little under funded
  12. I travelled up to see it too, its very special. Spoke to John Gledhill from the Golf mag, said you passed him at 120+ on the motorway :D Lies, i've never been over 70mph. :pale: Probably meant KPH

    Boot Installs

See mine in the members gallery, last page:- http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... 034#236034
  14. Not yet. Have been known to steal the keys to my parents company car if its particulary nasty out.
  15. http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1903959 here you go, turned out much better than i expected. Showed the system for the first time today and its all over the forums. Needs lots of tuning to get it right but thats half the fun.
  16. The back wheels are about and 1" out of the arch, the fronts sit about 5mm in the arch so need to be spaced out IMO to balance the look of the car.
  17. Your have a choice of thickness so i plummed for the narrowest to give me room to breath if you know what i mean. Yes they have shiny alloy bells :D
  18. How are you going to get those behind the RHs? Make sure Hi Spec don't feck you about as I've read some stories on Audi forums about squealing problems and warping discs etc. The discs are 28mm thick and i drive the car very gently these day's, so don't think i need worry about warped disc. Hi Spec are hard work, quoted 3weeks delivery, took 12  Ordered some 30mm RH spacers (£75  ) for clearance, thank goodness for wide arches.
  19. Can't wait to get them on, should look sweet behind the polished RH. Not many more mods for me to do now.
  20. There made by a company called Hi-Spec Motorsport. The quality is stunning and well worth the three month wait. The calipers are massive. Believe me, Bremo's are not Big Brakes.
  21. A sneaky pic of my new brakes which arrived today. Bit late for Elsecar but they will be in place for GTi Spring Festival in a month. Should fill my rims nicely :D
