Fitment issues - Porsche wheels, 20 mm adapters + coilovers

i'm running a 20mm adapter + 3mm shim. -
Richard's working on a custom part for me at the minute. Just wondering what people think of a carbon facia. If its popular i'll get it done,
-
Anyone seen a carbon fibre dash facia + instrument cowl? Thinking about having one made and possible getting the door handles done to match. It would be genuine CF not plastic!
-
I can highly recommend FK's. Run them on my C. The ride impressive considering the size of rims and the fact i'm 100mm lower than factory.
-
Look whats appeared on ebay. 10x18 tho'. Doubt they'd fit under my flared arches. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... RK:MESE:IT

Don't know, i'd guess its no more expensive to go 3.1 or 3.2. Just at the planning stage and assembling "the list".
-
Inside the spare wheel? If the amps small enough.
-
Is stealth able to overbore the block and cross hone it or do they subcontract it?
-
Time to start planning for next year, got a mate selling a VR block which will be the perfect start for my new motor. Looking for the best company to overbore/hone it + balance it. Recommendations? Doesn't have to be a VW's specialist, just a cracking engineering shop. I'll handle the assembly myself. Also, what does blueprinting involve?

Cool, GSF it is. Machining centre here i come.

Anyone interested in group-buy 1/43-scale Corrado models?

Anyone interested in group-buy 1/43-scale Corrado models?
A20 LEE replied to Tempest's topic in General Car Chat
Here's my collection, red one is 1/43 and cost £5, the two 1/36 scale cost £7 from CCGB. They were both the same but i painted one the same colour as my c. -

  That way too much IMO. CCGB did have/may still have stocks of corrado models, you could join, buy a model and still get change  -
my dad has an engineering company. Trying to establish if manufactured drilled disks are just the same as a solid disk and just drilled?
-
I'm going to change my rear disks. They have to be drilled to match the front. Rather than pay £90 for drilled disks i'm thinking about buying bremo's from GSF for £15 ea and drilling them myself. Anyone think of a reason not to do it?
-
and here a pic. they were seriously good quality wheels. Two of them are still look as new, the front were scraped when the car rolled down the drive and scraped the gate post :( I'm planning to strip the damaged laquer of the dish and re-spray them or may just strip the laquer off all four and mirror polish so i can sell them on and get some money back. Eventually.......... http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/download.php?id=15

Nope, messed up version of a classic. Cup wheels are a design classic, not to be messed with, BBS are a classic design not to be messed with and racing BBS hocks are also perfect. "Add to the truth and you subtract from it", if you catch my drift.
-
Yep, not keen. Porsche ones are better but abit busy looking, possibly look the nuts in the flesh, hard to tell. Already picked my next set of rims, think the current ones will make do this year tho'.
-
Couple of pics, top pic is of genuine porsche rims btw.

You can squeeze 8.5x17 alround if you have coilovers and trim back the wheel arch return edge but it looks iffy as the front wheel will stick out more than the rear. IMO fit 8" at the front and 8.5 at the rear if you can or flare the arches. Lowering a personal thing, my ride height was determined by the need to get it out of the drive. If it wasn't for that i'd go down another 1" or so.
-
OSV, Look like poor man's BBS LM to me, motorsport multi-spokes don't need the fussy centres IMO.

Just replace the cig filter will an Audi 80 part. Love to say it looks great but the bulb is dead :( Best place for a replacement? Or can i swap it with an LED?
