  1. Great - thanks Alex, will wait to hear from you. Cheers Phil
  2. Hi All, Just found that the source of oil on my exhaust heatshield is a split in the section of corrugated pipe (circled in red) between the PCV and the hard plastic pipe that goes into the air inlet elbow. Does anyone know where to source a replacement (for VR6) or have one in good nick that they can sell? I know you can get the PCV valve individually from VW but I'm not sure if it's possible to just get the hose without buying the whole inlet elbow assembly for about £140! Thanks Phil
  3. Wow hadn't realised there would be this much interest! Appreciate all the comments. I'll put together more of a guide as to what I did but will be a week or two before I get some time to do this.
  4. Thanks for the comments guys!!
  5. Hey All, Been meaning to do this for ages but only recently got round to finishing it! Occasionally I've wanted a cupholder, but didn't like the position of the widely available rear ashtray mod, hence thought I'd have a go at incorporating one into the dahs ashtray given I don't use if for anything else. Took a lot of "fine tuning" to work out exactly how to do it to ensure that the front cover would still shut whilst the cup holder cassette still being far enough forward to allow it to pop out far enough! Uses a A4 dash cupholder that has the front fascia removed and then very slightly trimmed to remove some of the excess material that was catching on the ash tray front cover. Did need a slight mod also to the lower screw mounting point where the ashtray unit fixes into the dashboard, but aside from that can be unscrewed and replaced with the original ashtray. So, in case anyone else fancies doing it, it can be done but takes a lot longer than the rear ashtray conversion! Cheers Phil
  6. First spot in months if not years! Went past a nice vr6 which I think was ice violet with gold alloys heading out along the a605 from Peterborough towards Oundle around 7 this evening. Waved as I went past!
  7. Good stuff! Used to get a healthy discount from the guy on the parts desk at my local dealer just because I had a Corrado but sadly he left a few years ago so great to have a new source!
  8. The originals are a two piece assembly that are a press fit - you can just carefully prise them apart.... Mine came out without damaging them so could have reverted to them just in case! Did have to make the holes in the mat slightly larger as the new ones are oval.
  9. Hey all Its the little things in life! Have been getting irritated by my drivers carpet mat (oe ones) shuffling forward as the mat either pops off the retaining stud that screws into the footwell carpet or the stud pulls out of the footwell carpet. Found these on the bay and fitted tonight - what a difference and added bonus that they are still oe clips! http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=231526883737&alt=web Cheers Phil
  10. Osram nightbreakers are pretty good... Try ebay or somewhere like gsf
  11. That would be me! Haven't seen another rado round here for ages - did I miss you or were you in something else? Cheers Phil
  12. Hi Olly Just to say thanks - arrived last week. Cheers Phil
  13. Ignore previous post - was having a special moment and misread Ians post! Thought Ians dealer had spares but assume it's the main depot...!
  14. When disconnected it holds the value open slightly, so you get some airflow through it - guessing it may idle slighty fast or slow it it's not being controlled at all?
  15. Good service too - mines currently leaking so ordered one of these from the above link late on Friday night and arrived today!
  16. Assuming 4 does both windows I'll take a set too please... Thanks Phil
  17. V5 starter is a good alternative and available on an exchange basis as long as they don't look too carefully at what you're handing back to them as they are slightly different!

    Vr6 abs ecu

Hi Mike, Saw your ad but it's a different part number? The one currently on my car starts 1H0 not 535 like the one your selling? Am I missing something here? Cheers Phil

    Vr6 abs ecu

Hi All, Looking for a VR6 ABS ECU, as mine is likely to be the cause of an intermittent ABS fault (ABS dash light occasionally comes on, but no fault codes recorded hence think there's a loose connection in the controller causing this) so a verified working unit would be appreciated! Part number 1H0907379E Thanks Phil
  20. You can disconnect the illumination so that it doesn't light up at all, but afraid can't remember which pin it is....! (the switch that is - not the headlights themselves!!!)
  21. Hi Sam, Would you do the VR6 ABS Pump and ECU for £20 posted? I'm also trying to trouble shoot so need to start swapping out some parts! Thanks Phil
  22. Does Anybody know if you can use the passenger seat right hand bolster to repair / replace a drivers seat right hand bolster? If so you could just strip and sell that! I'd be interested for one!
  23. You can fit a boot in with the seats down....
  24. If you can tilt the sunroof up then you should be able to remove the trim from the panel, this then reveals the four bolts that hold the panel to the sliding mechanism. You should be able to remove these to take the panel off without having to take the whole headlining out....
  25. Try some of the links in this post... http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=79750 Hope that helps.... I used the link to a wiki Pdf to help work out how to remove, strip and rebuild the cassette and reinstall that I posted in that thread....
