    Hi all, I had a flat battery this morning so had alternator/ battery check...and the alternator is down. A quick question before I buy a new one. Would it be worth buying a new bosch voltage regulator and trying it first ? Or just buy a new alternator ? Whats your thoughts ? Many thanks Chris.

    Hi all, I'm after loaning a tensioner tool so I can make some to sell on the forum as you just can't get them anymore. An engineer friend said he would make some up for me ...I've searched everywhere to try and buy one but had no joy. If anyone could loan me one for a short while I would very much appreciate it. Ps, sorry if I've posted this in the wrong section, it made sense to pop it in here. Many thanks Chris.

    Hi neil.can you give me a little more info on the tensioner pulley/ idler pulley please ? I've no prob taking the belt off. I use the spanner method on the nut. When the tensioner is off does the arm just swing lose to lift up and change the roller ? Also just one bolt Or nut at the back of them ? Now for the one on the right hand side , is that just fixed to a bracket with no movement ? I assume you use a socket on that one ? Any torque or just tight. Thanks chris. I want to do it tom or Wednesday.

    Hi all, I've scratched the black plastic trim on the drivers wing mirror reversing out the garage....I've only been doing it for 10 years ! Lol. Does anyone have a spare one about please ? I need to change it because it will bug me. Many thanks Chris.

    Tiger seal is perfect for gluing a fog light lens back in. White is the original colour. I did one two years ago because it kept getting condensation inside, prised the lens off which was easy , prise off nice and steady at different points till it gives. Two years on still solid and condensation free.

    Hi all, I've just bought a G60 radiator from advanced radiators in Newcastle upon Tyne, telephone 01912673312. Original Behr/Hella unit (vw 357) £83 with free delivery and took two days to come with a one hour time slot for delivery ! Exact fitment so very pleased. I needed one while I wait for my original one to come from germany but I will almost certatainly leave this one in. Highly recommended.

    Autoglym engine and machine cleaner. That stuff is amazing, used it for the past 7 years. Water based and will clean anything rapidly. My engine bay is like new with minimum fuss.

    Martin. ..am I right in thinking it's just top and bottom hose, both top clamps and the four bolts (2 each side) on the inside of the front grill ? Thanks chris.

    Hi all, I've just purchased a brand new radiator from vw heritage for the G. I've done a search but can't find a lot on the subject. Can fitting a new radiator be done without taking the bumper off etc ? And can anyone give me a quick how to please ? Many thanks Chris.
