We had better even it up a little then from a G60 owner.....I've had my G60 for 10 years this month and the only problem i have had of note is a burst water pipe (perishable obviously) Brilliant car, very fast, very reliable, massive raw power fun ! as with any car keep if it's well maintained and looked after it should look after you. Nearly all problems can be rectified by this brilliant forum. that my chip in.

The Tyre Discussion Thread - please read 1st post
shawshankkid replied to dukest's topic in Drivetrain
Just had Michelin pilot Exalto pe2's fitted last week, the best tyres i have ever had on the G60 out of 5 different sets. different class to any others i have had (Goodyear Eagle F1's Etc) exceptional in the dry and equally brilliant in the wet, gave it a good test in both conditions. I will look no further for tyres again. very very happy. -
Drill a hole in it ? 14 mm drill bit will make a good hole. ONLY JOKING OF COURSE !!! pipe off from tank to fuel filter is really easy

Wheel guys - is this too many balancing weights?
shawshankkid replied to The_Dude's topic in Drivetrain
Heres something to think about which has probably never accured to some of you about wheel balancing, i went to my usual tyre fitting place one day and was told i could not have my new tyres fitting untill the afternoon because the balancing machine was being calibrated, oh right i never realised that they had to be ! so to cut a long story short they should be calibrated twice a year.....now then national tyres never have this done ! and i know this because i have a friend who is a manager at a branch, i always used to go to him because he did it free for me but always without exception they were never right, wheel wobble etc,and i always had to go to my now usual place to have them redone. Just something to think about. -

As Jim says change the fuel filter if you don't know when it was last changed, also while the 60 is running give the pipes both sides connected to the fuel filter a good wiggle and make sure they are not leaking, these are very prone to perishing over the years which causes stuttering-accelaration problems....... Keep the love ,not many of us left now....Good luck.

[Forza 4] Top Gear Corrado Challenge (Pg 8)
shawshankkid replied to Yandards's topic in General Car Chat
Yeah good game.....Dirt 2 is still the best online racing game though by miles . For those of you who play racing games and have never played colin mcrae dirt 2 your missing out on a real addictive game. dirt gets the heart pumping with intense close racing more than forza 3/4. my opinion of course. -
This is a pic of my G60 engine bay.

These covers went for a total of £44.37 for both pairs. which will be donated to the forum shortly, a massive thank you to Rob from LM plastics for going out of his way to do this. Ive got to say I'm disapointed nobody posted in this thread. -
Anybody is cheaper than halfords ( supercharged will tell you different as he's halfords number 1 fan  ) I think these are the best place and luckily i have one about a mile away http://www.countybatteryservices.co.uk

For those of you who need to re-fix your rear view mirror back on, just go to your nearest Autoglass centre (101 branches nationwide) the will stick it back on for you "properly" free of charge, although it's best to give him the price of a drink :) Dont be messing about with the halfords 319 rear view mirror glue, sticky pads and such like.... i've just been and had the mother-in-laws fiesta mirror fixed back on...took 3 mins.

You can come and clear my road with ya David Brown 990 Tractor...... :)
