Get ETKA Andy... you can give them the part numbers then with no mistakes, very frustrating when your waiting on parts which are wrong and then have to wait again.

The corrado sunroof is simple to fix........i took mine out repaired it and put it back in within the hour, please don't be put off by what people say about it...lack of lubrication over the years makes them fail thats all, a bad design is just rubbish,in fact it's a very good one but it gets overlooked in the way of maintenance which kills them........keeping it lubricated once every 3 months will make it last forever. Ps. Weasel where abouts are you ? if your close you could pop over and i will have a look at it for you.

Is it just struggling on slide ? and is it ok up and down on tilt ? Calm down before you go to the garage, your propably going to spend money for no reason. i'm sure we can find the problem and rectify it.

WD40 won't be any good, you need white grease or lithium grease, probably just a lack of lubrication....i'd give it a good greasing up then manualy slide it backwards and forwards a good few times, any problems after that then it could be the motor that is giving up the ghost.

Autoglym engine & machine cleaner is what you need.....no need to hose off just use a paint brush to agitate in and use a cloth to wipe off....easy peasy japaneasy. most if not virtually all will agree that hosing the engine bay down with water is a massive no no even when the electrics have been covered up. junk is a terrible stinky/messy product that wants chucking in the nearest bin. so get some sun on your back this fine bank holiday and go for a mega clean engine bay. and p.s as said before don't listen to anyone in halfords....there only a quarter of a step up from macdonalds staff.......do you want t-cut with that ?

Autoglym engine & machine cleaner gets my vote....simple to use,no mess,no water needed, just spray on wipe off with cloth or use a brush for the more awkward parts.

Thanks Dirtytorque, nobody can find the right part number so we took a stab at it and ordered 191 819371E ......Now it's not the right pipe but with about four inches cutting off it fits almost perfectly. If anyone has a part number on this pipe please let me know. Cheers Chris. -

Thanks for the comments guys..... I've had the brand new wheels fitted now. I've also had some G60 wheel centres made which look really cool and a bit different. They will make a nice change every now and then instead of the original BBS centres. Many thanks to my pal Rob ( headlight protector man ) for expertly making the fittings for the centres. -
Good call Gloster ox.....i've been through etka Part - Retaining Band. Original part 535 863 447 A Polo 1991. 871 863 447 Now, I've just measured a spare strap which is 325mm. says on the polo part 291mm. look same other than that though. I will order one tommorow and check it out properly.

G60's are 65.9 (1674mm) wide. Take 60mm a side off with mirrors in.........so your G60 is 61.1 (1554mm) mirrors in

Thats this thread sorted then......original all the way .......or as delboy would say "you know it makes sense"

Correct Mike :thumb right: Nice and gentle - no need to rub in hard & keep using a different part of the cloth after every wipe.
