Ditto, I'm thinking of getting the 3.68 mod done too -
I never used to like the MK4 Golf, thought it was a bit too flabby.. Changed my mind now though, as I've got a MK4 anni, and love it :) Went for a test drive in a MK5 GTI first, it was quick but noisy and just felt a bit soul less.. Go for a test drive and see what you think :)

My suggestion about the mosquito device was serious, it'll stop them hanging around outside!

Maybe you should get one of these: http://www.compoundsecurity.co.uk/security-information/mosquito-devices

I don't think it's a browser issue... looks like a server problem. It's happened the last 2 nights, both just after midnight

Then again, parking on the road means you're more likely to get some tw@t bumping into your car when trying to park.. Or having a careless postman lose control of his trolly, which knocks into your car... Both have happened to me, and I never bothered to claim on the insurance (well, what would be the point, it would just increase my premium). In the 4 years I've kept it garaged, I've obviously had no issues.

I've been getting various quotes, and it seems that keeping it in a secure garage is more expensive than parking it on the drive... And parking on the road is cheaper still.... :?

N '96 just means it sat at the dealers, and was sold in 1996, then it was registered and they put a plate on it. It should say in the service book when it was actually built, and it won't be after Sept. 1995 IIRC. There are a few P reg corrado's, which means they also sat unsold for a while. Remember, the old style number plates ran from March to the end of Feb the following year, so: e reg = march 87 - feb 88 f 88-89 g 89-90 h 90-91 j 91-92 k 92-93 l 93-94 m 94-95 n 95-96 p 96-97

You could try cleaning out your ISV with carb cleaner, might help. I think the idle valve on a 16v is on the nearside of the engine (The right hand side, if you're looking at the engine with the bonnet up) I think the dealers charge about £250 for the valve... They popup on ebay every now and again, although buying second hand is not really a great idea, as they'll probably be just as old as your own. http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nkw=corrado+16v+idle+valve&_sacat=0&_odkw=corrado+16v+isv&_osacat=0&_from=R40 There's actually one on ebay for £955!! Here's some links to people with similar problems: http://www.google.co.uk/search?sourceid=navclient&aq=f&oq=site%3acorrado-forum.net+%2bisv+%2bproblem&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1T4PRFB_enGB465GB465&q=site%3acorrado-forum.net+%2bisv+%2bproblem&gs_upl=0l0l1l623422lllllllllll0#hl=en&rlz=1T4PRFB_enGB465GB465&sclient=psy-ab&q=site:the-corrado.net+%2Bisv+%2Bproblem&oq=site:the-corrado.net+%2Bisv+%2Bproblem&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&gs_l=serp.3...11374.11374.0.12244.1.1.0.0.0.0.202.202.2-1.1.0...0.0.v-72dIfacaI&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.,cf.osb&fp=45b1a37402de4028&biw=1680&bih=871 http://www.google.co.uk/search?sourceid=navclient&aq=f&oq=site%3acorrado-forum.net+%2bisv+%2bproblem&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1T4PRFB_enGB465GB465&q=site%3acorrado-forum.net+%2bisv+%2bproblem&gs_upl=0l0l1l623422lllllllllll0#hl=en&rlz=1T4PRFB_enGB465GB465&sclient=psy-ab&q=site:the-corrado.net+%2Bidle+%2Bproblem&oq=site:the-corrado.net+%2Bidle+%2Bproblem&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&gs_l=serp.3...2658.3390.0.4051.5.5.0.0.0.3.289.1123.0j2j3.5.0...0.0.sCH54OMzkiE&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.,cf.osb&fp=45b1a37402de4028&biw=1680&bih=871

My IE has been failing for months, I just never mentioned it :) -
ABS sensors are not obsolete :) You can get new aftermarket new ones on ebay, for a lot less than VW charge. You should find a garage with a VAG COM daignostic tool and it will tell you which sensor has failed

I dont think the glove boxes where different for models with aircon fitted. Only the dash undertray had to be chopped, to fit the larger blower motor. I've had aircon installed, and my orginal glovebox is fine, doesn't get in the way of anything. ---------- Post added at 6:39 PM ---------- Previous post was at 6:39 PM ---------- Check the partnumbers, they're probably the same

Congrats, that's a good outcome :)
