I bought a brand new one from the $tealers a couple of years back, was about £55

Check for rust in these places: - around indicators on the wings - front of the sills, near the wing - rear of the sills, where it meets the wheelarch - jacking points could be rusty or bent - around the rear 'corrado' or 'VW' badge - bottom of the doors can rust if paint's been chipped or water is trapped on the inside, due to blocked drainage holes Electricals: - check the headlights work - sunroof should tilt and slide - spoiler should work on the switch and at speed, around 45mph or 55mph - electric windows - abs light should go off after a few seconds of starting Mechanicals: - door handles!! These are notorious for breaking - check that all the heater controls rotate properly

Lovely... been toying with the idea of getting one for ages :)

sold Set of Corrado Doors (NEW - Unused) - SOLD

Later doors have side impact bars, IIRC -
Does the rad sensor break if you remove the existing one? I guess it makes sense just to buy new sensors all round, for peace of mind. Last thing you'd want is for one of them to fail a few weeks down the line. Suppose that's another £100 I'll have to fork out :)

I've been meaning to change my radiator/pipes for about a year now.. What's that gold topped sensor/plug thing?
-
Awesome, thanks chaps :)

I'm thinking of refurbishing my leather seats and I'm looking at the stuff from furnitureclinic.co.uk. Wondering what other people on here have gone for, is it just the leather colourant kit? http://furnitureclinic.co.uk/Leather_Colourant_Kit.php Would some sort of filler for the cracks be needed? Also, is the standard corrado leather matt or semi matt? Cheers! :)

oops, my bad

You don't need any special equipment, they just plug straight in. Any 6x4 speakers that you go for aren't going to be incredible, they just aren't that big. But I'm happy with the pioneers, sound much better than those awful standard ones :) I tried the rears on their own (disconnected the front's) and I was more impressed than I thought I'd be. If you look at the specs, they aren't too shabby, and they have a broad frequency response. For the sake of an extra £15 on the JBL's, it's not really that bad :) You could always sell the JBL's on fleabay

Ah, thats a bummer.. For what it's worth, here's what I've got: http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/15433.html Pioneer TSA-4613i They fit fine, after some minor cutting under the speaker shelf plastic. The magnets are a bit smaller than those JBL's so clearance isn't a problem

I think this was the original thread: http://direct.the-corrado.net/showthread.php?6851-White-Tippex-Special-Edition and then this one came a few months later: http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?9848-White-Storm Shame there's not many pics around of it

I think that plastic surround is there so that the tweeter (if that's what it is) in the middle won't get damaged. The magnets are a lot bigger than the standard speakers, so you'll have to chop under the cradle, IIRC. I had to do the same, just cut it neatly with a jigsaw. You'd never even notice :) I think you'd struggle to find 6x4's with the same puny magnet size as the standard speakers

Anyone remember those classic theads about the 'Tippex' corrado, and the legendary one about 'Angel Eyes'

Ok, cheers :) Where do you pre-order, is it on their shopping site? http://shopping.otto-models.com/ Just realised, I had to register using their PDF form at the bottom of the page: http://www.otto-models.com/index.php/en/ottomobile-club-europe -

Well done, you're a proper Columbo  -
You can buy a set from the $tealers, and they should come with the plastic caps and a cap removal tool. I bought some at Inters a few years ago, think it was around a tenner ---------- Post added at 1:13 PM ---------- Previous post was at 1:08 PM ---------- Actually, ETKA says they are no longer available... yet another obsolete part ---------- Post added at 1:19 PM ---------- Previous post was at 1:13 PM ---------- FYI - Here's the details for the locking nuts: M12 x 1.5 x 23.5 I assume 1.5 refers to the thread gap, and 23.5 is its the length in millimeters

The one's that just cover a few inches of the front of the bonnet are a bit pointless IMO... Stones will still fly up and damage the front of the wings and bumper. If you're going on a long trip, and have nice paintwork, then you need something functional - a full size gimp mask bra :) They look absoultely hideous (...I've got a full size one) but they do the trick. That said, I've not used mine for several years, partly due to the embarrasment  and also because I don't do long distances very often

I find it hard to believe the door card can come off without opening the door! :) There's 2 screws holding it on at each end, and you can't access them unless the door's open
-
I used to have a G60 as a daily.. was never a big fan tbh. It was standard and put out decent power, but they sound like a cement mixer IMO  VR6 every time
-
It's nothing personal.. :) Every day there's someone with "how much is my car/number plate/wife/leg of ham" worth
-
Oooh, he's dropped the price to £250. Bargain
-
He's probably been using that 'how many left', which isn't particularly accurate
-
I remember telling a wheel alignment place about this, many moons ago... They thought I was nuts, and just adjusted both sides
